My wife got me this for my birthday. It's super easy to use and so far the results have been excellent. For a small dinner or feeding 30 at a birthday party, this smoker pulls through! Cleanup is pretty easy, and we all look forward to the next use!

My digital smoker has ample room and is easy to get stuff smoked. I really like that I can cut and use my own small chunks of wood for the smoking medium. I also like the temperature probe, it really lets me know what is going on internally and when I reach the proper temperature. However, the Bluetooth is awful. Every time I try to use it I eventually have to delete the last connection to my phone and reestablish a new connection. That usually takes anywhere from 3 to 8 attempts before I achieve success. After I do get connected to my phone I cannot venture more that 10 to 15 feet from my smoker before it drops the connection. Then I can start over again. After I do get connected I can only monitor my smoker, I cannot control or alter any settings remotely. Bluetooth is Very frustrating! Also the accessories are very expensive and proprietary to Masterbuilt.

Smoker works very well but the Bluetooth range is about 8 feet! I mainly bought it for the Bluetooth, and the window. My $12 earphones have waaay better Bluetooth range. What's even the point of having Bluetooth if you have to almost be within arm's reach? It also disconnects every few minutes and sometimes won't reconnect!

The Masterbuilt is a great smoker; however, if you are buying it with remote Bluetooth control in mind, forget it. Save your money and stick with local digital control. (Look up the Masterbuilt App reviews and it is rated at something like 1.7 of 5). It will not stay connected for anyone. They simply slapped something together so they could paste a Bluetooth symbol on the box and appear to be technologically advanced, but it absolutely does not work well, and is devoid of critical function (like settable high and low meat temperature set points and corresponding alarms for the meat/cheese probe). It will tell you when the smoker reaches the set temperature, but not the meat. The app is pretty useless, buggy on connectivity, and not at all well thought out.

Pros: bigger than i thought when ordering it. temperature stayed very stable- even on a windy day. Cons: In order to turn on the smoker you have to enter a smoke time. I want to turn it on, get it to temp, put the meat in, then start the time. the app and bluetooth don't stay connected very well.

I'll start off positive: My first meal came out wonderfully! Plenty of room inside for more meat than I could ever use. Solidly built. Maintains the set temperature well. Being able to add wood chips without opening the door and losing heat and smoke is a plus. Now for the fails: It arrived in a good solid box, however it was not packed very well inside. The door had come off, and shelves and some parts were just loose inside. But there was no damage, the door fit back onto it's pegs, and it all assembled fine. So maybe just lucky. The display is difficult to read in any kind of light. The bluetooth function fails to link to your phone from just 20 feet away without obstructions. After the first use, the window is pretty useless. The smoking process gets it coated in grease, so I'm still searching for a cleaner that will remove all of it. You can't just start your meat and walk away until it's done. You have to reload the little wood chip tray that only holds enough for between 30 and 45 minutes. . So, after all that commentary, this is my first electric smoker, and I am overall pleased with the job it does. Beyond the end result of delicious smoked meat, the main benefit to me has been the automatic temperature control. Used to be I had to manage both fuel and smoke, and now it's just smoke. I used a third-party remote temperature monitor with multiple probes, so I can't comment on the built-in probe. Not knowing much prior to purchase, I will say I am satisfied even with the shortcomings Nothing is perfect.

I have 5 of these and 1 small one. After buying the first one and started cooking with friends coming over they talked about how great the food and flavor was that they started getting me to cook for there family gathering as well. Now I have bought more to keep up with the demand. I don't get the credit, it's the master built smoker that does the work.

Good product for the money, but it has a super weak bluetooth signal. Also, it needs to come with tips and tricks that explain what some may see as faults. For example, when we smoke pork shoulders side by side, we tried using drip pans under each side. We could never get the ambient temperature over 150 to 160. After much thinking, we discovered that the drip pans we fitting edge to edge, front, sides and back, and were keeping the smoke AND the heat from circulating above the drip pans. At first, we believed the unit was defective, when we couldn't get the temperature up.

This is great! Set the temp, add the wood chips and walk away to enjoy your life! You can easily check on the unit with your phone and bot worry about having to constantly walk out to it. Had it for about 2 years now and works perfectly every time.

The smoker shuts off for no reason and the Bluetooth feature is absolutely useless.
