Smoker works very well but the Bluetooth range is about 8 feet! I mainly bought it for the Bluetooth, and the window. My $12 earphones have waaay better Bluetooth range. What's even the point of having Bluetooth if you have to almost be within arm's reach? It also disconnects every few minutes and sometimes won't reconnect!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought my 40" smoker 8 years ago. Used it almost weekly before it finally died. It worked great and put out great quality smoked food. It's my second favorite smoker I've owned of the 10+ I've had, 1st being the gravity 1050 I currently have.

I bought this unit a few months ago. It was a floor model from Field and Stream. Knowing that, I was prepared for it to be damaged, but it fired up just fine in the store and I brought it home. Everything worked great except the Bluetooth and the app, which are clunky and frankly unnecessary to the function of the unit. Who is going to keep their phone in Bluetooth range for an entire 14 hour smoke? Deleted the app after the first time. Indicator light for the smoke box on/off status just stopped working sometimes, but would come back on if you unplug the unit and reboot it (not just turn off at the switch). Those things were minor and just annoying. Next, the meat probe stopped working. Turns out that the stainless braid on the wire is the ground and if it detaches from either end of the wire, the probe stops working. That's pretty normal for a temp sensor design, but for something intended for food and to be washed, I would expect a better design. Finally, the unit stopped working and threw fault codes for the main temperature sensor/element. I have purchased almost every spare part still available for the unit so I can keep it up and running or rebuild it as necessary. Considering the discount I received at purchase for the floor model, I was able to get those parts and still be under the original retail price for the unit. That being said, if I had paid retail this review would be very different. Also, to do it over, I wouldn't have purchased the electronic controlled model now that I see how easily it fails and/or glitches. Also, the glass door is totally unnecessary (can't see through it when smoking anyway) and a heat loss liability. I've learned that in the case of smokers, simple and efficient is preferable.

I just did my first ever smoking of a chicken and it was awesome. I love the temperature probe telling me the meat temperature. It's too bad I can't see the meat temperature on my Masterbuilt app but it is really an awesome smoker. I couldn't be happier.

This is my third Masterbuilt Electric Smoker. This is the best so far. And, they've all been great smokers. This one keeps very consistent heat throughout the cook. It's easy to use, and easy to maintain. I say it's tough because we had a tornado go through close to the house. It blew the smoker off of the table I had built for it. All that broke was a door hinge. And that part was readily, and quickly available on the web site.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this vertical smoker. Mine is one of the older versions that does not have the stand. I have had it for 4 years now and use t at least a few times a month. It always produces the best end product. I love how you can control the smoke level by adding the chips vis the external inserter. It is very large and can hold alot of meat. I also use it to make Jerky!

This was given to me as a gift since I expressed interest in doing some smoking. The product is well built and works as expected but the set up instructions could be a bit more detailed and I had some questions about the timing on some of the recipes (they seem too short). The bluetooth works well but wifi would be better to allow for more range. Looking forward to learning more about this product and doing some more cooking with it.

I gave my hubby a digital electric smoker as a surprise Christmas gift last year. He was more excited than a kid on Christmas morning! He has turned out some incredible meals this year from his smoker. He has tried about every meat imaginable as well as smoked Mac and cheese and queso with delicious success!!! It has truly made having to eat at home way more fun. I don't think I will be able to top last year's Christmas surprise.

We bought the Bluetooth Digital Electric Smoker and when we received it, it had a dent on the door. We let Masterbuilt know and they immediately started working on sending us a new door. The process took about 2 weeks and we were able to change out the door. This is a great product and makes some DELICIOUS meats! We're looking forward to using our smoker more and more.

Over the last couple of months, I have ran through 6 boston butts, 10lbs of wings, 3 racks of baby back ribs, corn on the cobb, 25lbs(in one cook) boneless skinless breasts, Boneless teriyaki chicken thighs... Salmon too! Not one single thing came out that wasn't good. Love, Love, love this thing! And now everyone wants to come over for the food because suddenly I am an instant pro! I was told that an electric smoker was the easiest and I am convinced that it is! Precision temp setting, the meat probe keeps me from under/over cooking. The small amounts of wood it takes to smoke anything in this is amazing with flavor! I love the bluetooth option if I need it to monitor the unit while working on other things...but I set the time the temp and let it cook! Absolutely the simplest and best flavorful smoker on the planet! 6 stars not 5
