Just purchased this generator. Out of the box I am quite impressed. Fired right off on propane. The remote starter works extremely well, tried it 40 feet away and behind obstacles, EXCELLENT. Bought it to use while remote camping at the lake. I'm hoping the unit will allow us some creature comforts of home, including A/C on those unbearably hot days (nights). I bought this generator for my RV because it had the power to run my A/C and other RV accessories, it is an inverter generator (for my electronics) with dual fuel capability and remote start, and it was advertised as very quiet. From the start, the generator battery was not viable. The remote and electric start did not work. I removed and charged the battery and after replacing it, the generator started at home. But when I went to camp, it failed again. The generator would not start by any means at times, then out of the blue (after a while), it would start with the rope pull. It is not happy without a fully charged strong/viable battery. This is a common issue I found in other reviews. The generator shut down on a hot day with temperatures just under 100 degrees (when we needed it most) even though it was in the shade. When it did work, it was very nice. It uses a lot of fuel and is noisier than expected, but these are things I can live with at their current levels. The exterior makeup of the generator is very cheap with plastic clip-on covers and switch protectors that pop off during the first use of the machine. It is light weight for all you get in the generator which is nice. Perhaps a wi-fi link to a cell phone app would take this to the next level to monitor everything on the front display from inside the RV?? This generator has ton of potential if Westinghouse would bullet-proof the important selling point items such as remote start, electric start, run reliability and sound output.

We just received our Westinghouse IGen4500 DF and right off the bat I was very happy with the quality of the generator, the duel fuel is a great option and the remote starter is user friendly. I am looking forward to many years of great service from Westinghouse power equipment. Thank you !!

My generator arrived in good condition with all the advertised accessories for remote start and dual fuel operation. Adding the initial oil was not difficult and startup was super easy with electric start. This unit is so quiet that I can barely hear it from the other side of the house.

Great overall unit for home and camping power needs. I bought this unit about two weeks ago, startup was easy with easy to understand instructions. Unit performs as advertised and is surprisingly quite for its size and output. Perfect size to support all loads in my trailer including the air conditioning with capacity to spare. Love it so far!!!

Unit was in good shape when delivered and everything worked as expected(even though it was delivered on it's side). Great instruction manual and nothing was missing. Started right up, runs quiet and seems very reliable(still breaking in, but have run 3hr total during two periods).

Technically bought two of these generators for RVing and emergency situations. For whatever reason this one took more effort to start initially. Was really concerned but then it took off and worked fine after that. Still haven't really put them through their paces but happy so far.

I bought my generator a little over a year ago and I was able to pull it out of storage and hook up propane to it and it fired right up. I really like the dual fuel option so that you don't have to worry about gasoline going bad if you're not using it regularly. It's really quiet and easy to use.

Chose to have delivered to homedepot instead of house, feel like less chance of damage from rushing delivery people. Ran on both gas and propane. No issues with the engine or the power output. Gauges seem to be off though. Was indicating empty tank and zero time left to run but still ran over an hour before I finally shut it down manually. Remote seems to have stopped working but they do include remote reset instructions. Changing oil is challenging if you have big hands. Also a bit messy, take lots of precautions like extra rags and cover everything plus make a homemade funnel to insert under drain hole to help contain oil flow. If you've changed the oil on this model then you know exactly what I'm talking about. Overall satisfied with purchase and hope I never need to use for main intended purpose, blackout.

Bought this for camping and home use due to storms. Was up and running in 20 minutes using propane. Electric start worked great, did not need to charge battery out of the box. Note, you may see some old reviews commenting on problems filling oil and oil cap. Just use common sense and if you are in the least mechanically inclined there is no issue at all. Very easy.
