Very happy with this dual fuel generator. I don't plan to ever use gas, unless there is no other option. Propane won't gunk up the carburetor after long term storage. This will provide power to my freezers with more money in meat/food than the generator cost. Also plan to use with an RV and catamaran as needed for backup power.

Bought last year while hooking up the battery I noticed loose wire. Removed side cover and found choke wire had came loose more than likely during shipping. In Feb of 22Lost power during ice storm, started right up on propane. Kept the blower running on our fireplace to heat the house. We had no frozen pipes. Would have given five stars but had the loose wire.

As far as generators go I think it has an appealing look. I like the expandable handle that makes moving it around an absolute breeze. Hookup of the battery was simple enough but had a bit of a hiccup with oil installation. They say to use the whole bottle but should have done it slowly as the fill line is the actual oil filler hole itself. Take your time with the oil to avoid the mess. The propane hookup was a breeze and after one false start because I hadn't moved the switch from gas to propane it fired right up like it was just waiting to be run. OMG so quiet... I started plugging everything I could get my hands on into this thing and it barely even rev'd up. The wash of satisfaction knowing I had a way to keep my fridge cold, lights on, heater to keep me warm in the winter and a fan or 10 running to keep me cool in the summer was overwhelming. I hate to say that I'm hoping for a power outage but I believe I'm ready for mother nature now. This to me is the only insurance policy that I've had that really makes me happy and brings me comfort.

I have recently purchased a Westinghouse iGen 5000. It was delayed a couple times in shipping by Fedex, but still came in about a week. Unpacked it, put oil in, connected propane started on second pull. Put gas in, again started in a couple pulls, electric start worked also, no problems. It handles our 30 amp rv very well. Noise-wise, with a 15000 btu air on it is less than half as loud as our push lawnmower, standing right beside the generator, the neighbor's push mower across the street was very easily heard over the generator. Overall, I like this product and would recommend it to anyone interested in this size generator. Only feature that might be nice is a manual fuel gauge, to see fuel level before starting it.

The dual fuel feature allows for real life options in an emergency or planned usage for portable power. My usage will be as a homeowner in need of emergency backup power for my essential loads. Setup and initial operation was simple and straight forward, due to the excellent documentation that was obviously written by competent Westinghouse engineers. I highly recommend this product.

Just bought this generator after Beryl hit Houston and experienced prolong power outage. This is my first time buying an inverter generator and I am happy with the purchase. It's well-built and run with very low noise. Not strong enough for my AC unit but will hook up to my breaker for other appliance. Wish it has an electronic/push button start.

Shipment was great and the item is definitely heavy but to be expected. However with the large no flat wheels and handle it makes it super easy to move around. We haven't hooked it up to the house yet, but packaging and all included accessories were top notch and direction and very easy to follow.

We use this primarily for camping with our RV. It runs our 30 amp camper A/C and all other 110v outlets flawlessly. Glad for the dual fuel feature. We were camping last summer in Colorado above 8000 ft. The generator ran rough on gasoline, but perfect on propane. We seldom camp at these elevations so altering the generator to run at high elevations like the instructions said didn't make sense for us. The propane fuel option saved us.

Unboxing the generator and finding everything I needed was a welcome sight. The battery connected easily to my trickle charger and went to full charge quickly. The oil is a bit of a pain to get to, especially if you have big hands, but the filler hose does screw on and there is a washer at the end, so kudos for that. The cap is difficult to get back on. It keeps wanting to cross thread. A bigger access door would be helpful. Gas cap attached, nice touch. Went to fire it up and it starts and dies right away. Have to look into this. May be a return. Shouldn't have to work on something right out of the box. First impression, I would not recommend, but hoping to be convinced in the long run.

I bought this in preparation for hurricane season this year and needed it WAY quicker than expected! It did the job amazingly. Easy to start, easy to use, simple instructions! It came with the starting oil needed too. It kept my fridge running, my single room AC running, and plenty of charge for other small devices! My wide and dog were taken care of. YouTube helped me figure out how to easily maintain it now that the storm has passed!
