Incredibly quiet🤫

I had been looking at the Westinghouse 5k inverter, and the Predator 5k inverter. Both were dual fuel. The Predator had electric start, which requires the battery be tended to. I'm glad I went with the Westinghouse instead. The most impressive attribute was how quiet, yet powerful this is. I will primarily use it to run my RV. My first use was on June 26th weekend in 90° heat. The A/C was on full blast, the refrigerator in use, and all the lights on, and it was only having to run on 25% power using propane for the fuel source. I'm very happy with this Gen/inverter, and would recommend it to any friends.

Super quiet

I was very surprised and please when I started the iGen4500df and it was quiet. Then I thought let's see how loud it is w/o eco-mode and full throttle. It was ALREADY on full throttle and that quiet. I selected eco-mode and went to idle and was very quiet to a normal conversation. I could even have a phone conversation standing beside it with no issue. Sure, you can tell it's running but NOTHING like my previous construction grade generation.

Quiet As A Mouse

If you are looking for a powerhouse generator that won't keep you up at night, this is the one. Super quiet, runs forever, fast starting, tons of features and a handheld remote control that starts this beauty from within your camper. A dual fuel system allows you to use gas or propane, just connect it to a portable propane tank or use your quick connect from your camper. LED readout screen monitors wattage used and warns you if your fuel levels are low. The Westinghouse brand backs up their products with a three year warranty, with most other brands having a year or less. Other similar generators with comparable features will cost you twice as much, so why shop around, just look at the Westinghouse brand generators for your next purchase, you won't be disappointed.

Awesome quiet generator

I bought this generator to go boondocking with my travel trailer and tested it for 7 hours to break it in. Super quiet and started up on 2 pulls, and one push of the electric start, and also started on first press of key fob at 50 feet. Recorded the volts as I increased the loads to 50%. Nice digital display for voltage output, fuel remaining, run time. At 109 pounds was still able to lift into the back of my truck.

Dual Fuel

I selected this generator because it had a pretty high capacity for an inverter style generator that is more efficient and quieter than the non inverter generators. I liked the fact that it is dual fuel and can be setup for a natural gas connection with a slight modification. I will eventually be setting up a transfer switch in my house to make an easier transition when using the generator. I have not used the generator yet, but will be ready when I need it.

Arrived yesterday, so far so good

Instructions say in order to drain the oil, remove the fill plug and lay the generator on its side. That is crazy, why not remove the 10mm drain plug bolt and leave the unit in the normal upright position? I have ran my travel trailer with a 15K BTU AC and microwave at the same time using this IGen 4500 DF in the gasoline mode, so far so good. I have put a total of about 20 minutes on this generator.

Excellent product!!

This generator started right up and ran perfectly. I was so glad I made this purchase as we had a power outage that evening. Kept my freezer and fridge running plus gave us some lighting. Worked so well that I am going to purchase and install a transfer station so during the next outage the transition from power company to generator is seamless. A Great Product!!

Great Features

One of the few that had ALL of the features I wanted. I wanted an inverter that runs on Propane with remote electric start, 30A RV ready rated at 4500 watts. This is the only one on the Market that I could with ALL of these features. This generator is in such high demand that I had to look around to find someone who had one in stock.

New purchase

I just purchased the iGen4500 DF a few days ago and haven't had a chance to really check it out. I did connect it to a propane tank, followed the starting instructions and it fired right up and ran great. I am looking forward to testing it more fully in the coming weeks. So far, so good!

Worth the wait to be back in stock

IMO best quietest 30 AMP RV ready Generator INVERTER. Almost bought back in April for $800, then went out of stock everywhere and have been watching. Now August and Walmart site said would ship in 2 days, which it did, and a few days after that when it arrived, they were out of stock again. Must be hundreds of other people wanting this, too. BE careful when searching, because the gas only version will pop up at a better price, SO BE CAREFULL if you want the DF (dual fuel) version. When I received, I opened the gas cover and this new unit had previously had gas in the tank. The oil fill hole showed that it had oil in it previously, as well. Careful inspection showed no other possible trace of previous use. I hope the factory is testing before shipping AND if they are they should advertise benefit. Otherwise, I fear that I received a re-furbished/repaired unit. I ran on propane only so far for 3 hours in eco mode, then 4 hours under light load plugged into camper with AC running. It showed a "U" 1.34 load but have not read up on what that means, yet. Regardless, light load AC plus TV and the Dish Hopper 3, some 10 LED lights. Have now changed oil to a Mobile 1 full synthetic Next change at around 50 hours or one year per instructions. SO HOW LOUD IS IT? THIS SENTENCE IS LOUDER than this unit in eco mode no load. about 25% load, my guess, it might be up from base 52 decibel to maybe 62 decibel (i used my ears only to guess this 10% or double sound level). Under load, you do know it is there and maybe some RV neighbors will know it too, but it is not your parents generator that sounds like a car without a muffler. I recommend this and would buy again if needed the 50 AMP you get when plugging two of these together.
