- 3 out of 5 stars review2/4/2022This one is a lot quieter than my old one and I like the fact that it is dual fuel makes it more versatile. Started right up after unpacking and following setup instructions. I can also pair it up with approved generator for more output. My only concern is running it at higher elevations as it says it needs a high elevation kit to run at 5000 ft elevation or above to get maximum performance output. I don't know how it will effect my warranty if I install it or do I need to have an authorized factory representative install it

Works great right out of the box, after adding oil and connecting the battery of course, and it's less than 1/2 the price of a comparable Honda.

It starts and runs perfectly. It runs very quiet, And is campground approved! At only 20 inches tall it fits in our 2024 NISSAN Pioneer bed, underneath the tonneau cover.

Becky & AlbertOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review12/29/2021Received the generator, added oil, connected battery, read the start up instructions etc. I had already wired my home breaker panel with a separate 30 amp single pole breaker, UL interlock kit and 10/3 wiring to the an outside weatherproof box that houses my 30amp male plug head that I just pull out thru the box to a distance that is away from the house and plug into my generator at it's safe location to run. Turned of the main breaker off at the electrical panel and turned on my new 30 breaker and switched on the desired loads 1 at a time. Furnaces, refrigerators, small freezer, fireplace, assorted lights can all run at the same time as necessary. They just can't all start up at the same time. Worked flawlessly! Can't wait to try it boond...

Tools are also furnished when needed. It is quiet and started the second pull using gasoline. The duel fuel option is nice too. I believe it's a good purchase.

I will have a chance to use it this weekend. Runs very quiet. Seems to be heavier than advertised. It is a heavey 105lbs. Rolling it around is easy, but you will need 2 people to load/unload unit if using it for travel.

Had an issue when it arrived with minor cosmetic damage due to shipping. Had to manually adjust the choke because it was sputtering on initial start up and run. Had a little problem with being able to read the oil level due to the oil cap being a yellow color and oil being new and clean. But one the initial issues were addressed it ran great and powered my camper off grid for three days on one tank of gas and a half a propane tank.

I had a smaller gas-fueled H brand with recoil rope pull only, that failed to start enough times, even after servicing, that I wanted to upgrade to something more reliable. This 4500 dual fuel inverter generator has push-button electric or even remote start, was intuitive to assemble, and uses 20-lb propane bottles that I can purchase full, and trade-in at my neighborhood grocery store. And it's so much quieter! Now I'm ready for Mother Nature's moods!

Features a plug to charge your phone which my daughter tested. had it for a short time but so far very impressed.

Westinghouse offered to send new carburetor and gave me a name of a shop. I have not had time to get it fixed yet. When running it's quite powers my tools.

It started started right up on the first try using the remote. I also used the recoil start and it also started right away. l might use gasoline once I go outdoors this coming weekend but I really like not having to mess around with gasoline containers. I am looking forward with to our camping trips showing movies of the "Great Outdoors" to our kids. We will not miss our family movie night.

I will request a paper copy from WH bec the online version may not be available during an outage. The manual also has a reference to a choke lever which appears non-existent for this model so that was very confusing. I need to clarify this that with WH support as well.

Quiet, everything appears to work well, with just two minor exceptions: First oil change a bit difficult, as extension tube threaded out instead of end plug. Second concern eco switch not clearly marked on panel like in picture, just an O and a dash, so wasn't sure if the O ment on or off.

Other than a cracked side panel from shipping, the generator runs great. Runs very quiet. Perfect for state park use! The dual fuel option is a great feature. Running it off the propane allows for longer run times. You also can't go wrong with the remote start option. Start the generator as you are pulling back up to camp.

After receiving it I did a binge boondocking trip for three weeks and put more than 30 hours on the igen when the overload light came on and the inverter stopped working. I went through the reset procedure in the manual but to no avail . I called Westinghouse and they sent me a new one in four days . That's unheard of !! My experience with their customer service was amazing and I'm a customer for life !! Thanks Bob
