[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This had to be one of the funniest games I’ve ever played with my children. You pick cards and have to get your teammates to guess what it is while only talking in one syllable words. While the other team has an inflatable bat to bonk you with if you use more than one syllable, let’s just say my kids couldn’t wait for their parents to mess up so they could give use a bonk. My advice, make sure to do a few practice rounds so you get use to the game, we aren’t use to talking in one syllable and the kids got a little frustrated at first but once the got the hang of it it was game on. This was such a cute game and I can’t wait to have more family nights like this.

Multiple generations spent the evening after Thanksgiving dinner laughing out loud as we played this together. I wasn't sure about having a club to bop people over the head if they make a mistake but it is one of the funniest aspects of the game. Such a simple game concept and yet so much fun to play! It can be tricky to find a social game that appeals to kids as much as it does adults but this one does it perfectly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a birthday gift and wasn't really expecting much fun from it, but let me just say that after a few rounds my friends and I jumped right in the game. It's basically Taboo but you can only use a single syllable, and it's a lot more difficult than one might think! The stick alone made it a fun addition. The poetry itself towards the end was a bit of a damp not necessary, we did it once then skipped it for future rounds.

It is simple and silly, so no need for too much concentration or seriousness. I think perfect age would be elementary age kids, but it’s still fun for those a little bit older.

This game was hilarious and a huge hit with everyone; both those that played and those that chose to just watch! Even the younger ones loved participating because who doesn't love hitting their friends and family with a giant (inflatable) club?! It's very easy to understand the game play and it plays fairly quickly. It's an absolute riot!

He is 15 years old and they have been playing this game for a few months now. I would have thought they would have moved on to a different game but they all choose this one over all the ones we have.

Poetry for Neanderthals is a game appropriate for all ages of the family. Perfect for a family game night. This game can be played for as long or as short a time as your participants are willing to stay engaged. Definitely watch the video for instructions on how to play the game as it makes them very clear and easily understood. This will be another addition to our game night options.

My husband even had a good time and he’s hard to please when it comes to games. Would be a great game for game night with friends as well. We’ve definitely recommend it to friends.
