My game group had so much fun playing this game. We had to tone down hitting with the Nope stick, but it was a blast. I loved hearing the fun one syllable descriptions! As an educator I can see using this game in a classroom setting! I highly recommend this game for all ages! There is some light reading involved to playing with a buddy may be needed for 5-7 year old gamers. I think it says 7+ but our littles loved it!

Had some family visiting from out of town so we pulled out this game to play and we had a blast! The rules are simple and it’s easy for everyone to play along- perfect for a big party group when you don’t want to spend a lot of time on reading and explaining the rules. The game forces you to think fast and be creative with your sentences - very engaging all around.

Me and my family had a brilliant time playing the game, the game was a mix of challenging and easy words to describe. The no stick had been a favourite part of the game and overall would recommend to anyone who wants a party game that anyone can play and enjoy.

We really loved playing Poetry for Neanderthals from Exploding Kittens. Think Taboo, but you’re only allowed to use one-syllable words to describe the word on your card. Get extra points if you go for the phrase next. But be careful!! You can get clubbed over the head if you’re caught using a word with multiple syllables!! It’s fast-paced and fun for all ages!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had such a great time playing this game with my 12 yr old nephew!! It took us a little bit to get the hang of single syllable words, then eventually caught on. We had a blast!! My nephew found the blow up bat to be the best part of the game. It definitely added more entertainment, besides the screaming & laughing!! I found the game to be extremely fun, and educational at the same time. It was definitely a bonding experience for my nephew and I. I highly recommend this game, and would like to try some others in the "Exploding Kittens" line.

Speaking like a neanderthal is harder than you think!! It is also a whole lotta fun! Your mind goes blank and you force yourself to only speak one syllable at a time while your brain is fighting you all at the same time. What comes out of your mouth is fun for all to hear and experience! Great game night for all ages!

We played this on family game night with grandparents, teens and parents. Our three teenagers said it’s the best game we have played and their new favorite. Laughed the entered time and had a great night! Came on here to order the expansion pack. Highly recommend this game!
