[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really loved playing this game with my kids. Time to use your brain, great game to play with your kids and family. We read the instructions and were easy to follow after that. We played the game on New Years eve with the whole family and had so much fun. Recommended game to have for family reunions.

It’s so easy, a caveman could do it (…geico commercials, anyone? anyone?) The game play is easy to learn. Use one syllable word clues to get your team to guess the word on the card. Very similar concept to taboo or catch phrase or $25,000 pyramid or password. The twist on this game is that the clues must be only one syllable words. But in playing it ended up just saying sentences and phrases with smaller words, poor grammar, and much of the time it was easier with just calling out clue words. And instead of a taboo buzzer (…Four Christmases was such a good movie…) , you hit the person with an inflatable club with the word No on it. (Kind of like in season 1 of Family Guy and Brian hits Peter with the newspaper saying, “No!”). The kids loved the club hitting part. The box description doesn’t completely match the gameplay. In the game play people generally didn’t say parts of the word or other illegal clues, so having only one person from the other team call out when multiple syllable used, turned into everyone on the other team calling out the cluegiver. The point of sitting on alternate chairs with other team just makes for easier hitting with the club. Eventually, we rarely ended up using the club as everyone pretty much stopped using anything but one syllable words. Really, the only reason for having cards in the negative point pile was when clue giver would pass. At game end, the winning team ends up doing a Neanderthal poetry reading from their winning cards discard pile. Basically a short 3 word Mad-Lib. Typically not very funny and generally useless for gameplay. Very few of these in the box and would be more fun if they affected gameplay more and if there were more poetry cards. The game board was also pretty unnecessary. It was easy enough after each round to tally points for that team. Ultimately if playing again would just take a pack of cards and leave the rest. All in all it was fun and everyone had a good time.

This is a fun and goofy game where we all sound, well, like neanderthals! Leveling the playing field. A note about Customer Service - my neighbor's dog got to the delivery before I did and destroyed the inner box, the club and a few other items. I contacted CS and the game was replaced at no cost to me. Thanks so much and keep on making these games that allow adults to be children, on purpose

It was so much fun. My husband who rolled his eyes when I told him about the game at the end told me that was a really fun game. Lots of laughs. We even were able to included my nonverbal autistic daughter. She had a blast clubbing people on top of the head.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game is SO much fun. We got it to play with our 9 and 11 year olds, but ended up also playing it with some of our friends as well. It’s easy to learn, the rules are simple. Pro tip - it really does help you not say 2-syllable words if you speak like a Neanderthal.

This game was so much fun and created so much laughter and joy for our family game night! I would have never guessed how difficult it can be to speak like a neanderthal! We think that talking simple would be easy....it is not! It is also a lot of fun to get to bonk your neighbor on the head when the speak too fancy or say the wrong words! It really was a lot of fun and will be a frequent flyer at our future family game nights!

Had some family visiting from out of town so we pulled out this game to play and we had a blast! The rules are simple and it’s easy for everyone to play along- perfect for a big party group when you don’t want to spend a lot of time on reading and explaining the rules. The game forces you to think fast and be creative with your sentences - very engaging all around.
