This word guessing game is a fun timenfor the whole family. The point of the game is to have your Tam guess a word or phrase but you can only give one syllable clues. If you use more syllables, the opposing team gets to hit you with a blow-up club, which is my kids favorite part. It is easy to learn and games are quick. This will definitely be on the rotation of our family game nights.

Poetry for Neanderthals is an extremely fun and social game to play with a group of people.We played with 7 people, 4 guys and 3 girls. The odd number of players was the only thing that made it slightly less than ideal, but it was easily overcome. The rules say if there is an odd number of players one becomes the all-time checker/moderator, but that didn’t sound fun to us. For each round we played, we gave each guy a turn, and then we gave 1 girl an extra turn to even it out.Throughout the game we laughed so much! The conflict of trying to use only simple words while also race the timer was an extremely entertaining mental challenge. Almost immediately after our game night was finished, my wife and I were already discussing having another game night with different people to play Poetry for Neanderthals. We even played it, the following day with our kids (10 yrs. and 8 yrs.), and they loved it as much as we did.I recommend playing this game as it does not disappoint!

It is a relatively small box so easy to pack for car trip. This game is sooo much fun. My kids are 18 and 19 and their boyfriend and girlfriend had so much fun playing it with me and my wife. It has a cute little blow up wood like club that a Neanderthal would have carried. You can spend hours enjoying this game. If you enjoy board games or card games or just good family fun this is a game for you. I recommend you put this in your game room or game selection and a must to travel with. We laughed so much with this game and will play it many more times with new friends!

I can honestly say it's one of the most FUN games my family has ever incountered. We laughed for hours and the inflatable stick is the best part. My kids loved "clubbing" each other when the other made a mistake. I would give this game 100 stars if I could.

This game seriously is SO MUCH FUN. It's unique, it's great for families (with older kids), it's a great party game, it doesn't take too long but is long enough to have fun and be interesting, it's funny, it's fairly straightforward and simple (easy to learn) but not at all boring. It is one of our absolute favorites now.

I received Poetry to Neanderthals and couldn't wait to try it out! We hosted a Christmas game night and everyone loved playing the game! It was easy to learn, great for a large group (we had 8), and kept us laughing the whole time! It takes some practice to speak just in one syllable words and the other team was always ready to hit us with the club when we broke one of the rules! Yoi can make it a quick game or continue to play as long as you like! It will definitely be one of our go-to games!

This game is lots of fun. It is like Password. You try to get your teammates to guess the word on the card. What makes this game extra challenging is you can only use words with one syllable. If you use a word with more than one syllable you get hit by the inflatable club . The game play says 15 minutes but you can keep going for a longer game & make it as long as you'd like.

My family had a blast playing this game! Any excuse to hit one another with a stick, am I right?! The game was fun, yet challenging enough to want to play over and over. My parents loved this game so much that they even went out and bought the game for an upcoming game night that they're hosting! This is definitely a keeper and will be brought out many more times in the future!
