This game was hilarious and a huge hit with everyone; both those that played and those that chose to just watch! Even the younger ones loved participating because who doesn't love hitting their friends and family with a giant (inflatable) club?! It's very easy to understand the game play and it plays fairly quickly. It's an absolute riot!

This Poetry for Neanderthals game by Exploding Kittens is hilariously fun to play. My family enjoys playing it and it's always a lot of laughs when we do. The concept is easy to understand and the instructions are clear. The blow up bat adds a fun and unique factor to the game. Overall, I would really recommend playing.

This game was so much fun! It was easy to learn, fun to play, and hitting people with a stick is always a good time! You don't realize how many syllables you rely on until you only get to use one syllable words to explain something 😂 new family favourite!

We loved this game! Fun for a lot of ages. The 30-somethings in the group had the most fun with this! It is similar to games like catch phrase but the 1- syllable rule makes this game stand out as unique. The two player version was even really enjoyable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a birthday gift and wasn't really expecting much fun from it, but let me just say that after a few rounds my friends and I jumped right in the game. It's basically Taboo but you can only use a single syllable, and it's a lot more difficult than one might think! The stick alone made it a fun addition. The poetry itself towards the end was a bit of a damp not necessary, we did it once then skipped it for future rounds.

We had so much fun playing poetry for Neanderthals! The inflatable club is just the funniest part of this, can get a bit out of hand if you’re not careful especially with younger kids. Otherwise when we played with just adults it was so funny and we had a great time! SO easy to learn and doesn’t take long to understand what you’re doing so it’s a great addition to our game nights! Really does challenge you to think of single syllable words so prepare to get stumped on occasion or you’re going to get whacked quite a few times!

This game can be played for as long or as short a time as your participants are willing to stay engaged. Definitely watch the video for instructions on how to play the game as it makes them very clear and easily understood. This will be another addition to our game night options.

If you use any words with more than one syllable, the other team gets to bop you with a 2-foot inflatable club. My kids & I enjoyed playing this game a lot & it was very hard using one word syllables, but it was fun when we'd get it right or wrong lol. This game will be played a lot in our household especially for all occasions.

Holy moly, is this game fun! I got this game from Tryazon, and I was enamoured by how easy it was to learn, but how difficult it was to master. My son loved hitting other people on the head, and I loved how it made me think outside the box. Will definitely be playing again!

Poetry for Neanderthals was fun for the whole family. You split into teams, and then you try to get your teammates to guess what words are on your card by using one syllable words. If you gesture or say a multi-syllable word, the person next to you from the opposite team gets to bonk you with an inflatable bat. It was fun to try to guess the words and also to try to give out clues. Some were harder than others, but we all definitely had a great time and lots of laughs.
