A very quick learn and lots of fun. In essence it's pyramid but with one syllable words, which sounds easy but in the moment can be hard! Definitely more fun in a big group. It says 7+, but we still were able to get the younger ones in on the No! stick and they had a blast. Would recommend!

Poetry for Neanderthals is everything I want in a party game. It’s for ages 7+ so almost all of the family can play and it can be played with 2+ players. The game play is very quick with most games lasting 15 minutes or so. You must speak good or get hit with a stick! It is just so much fun that everyone should try it.

Poetry for Neanderthals is a great group game! I played with a group of girls and we all really enjoyed it. It feels so difficult at first, but you get into a groove and really enjoy it the more you play! The blow-up club is obviously a fun addition too!

But hitting each other with an inflatable club just wasnt our cup of tea. I gave it to my nephews. They like the club, but didn’t get into the game.

I received Poetry to Neanderthals and couldn't wait to try it out! We hosted a Christmas game night and everyone loved playing the game! It was easy to learn, great for a large group (we had 8), and kept us laughing the whole time! It takes some practice to speak just in one syllable words and the other team was always ready to hit us with the club when we broke one of the rules! Yoi can make it a quick game or continue to play as long as you like! It will definitely be one of our go-to games!

Easy to understand rules. Similar to Taboo but much more fun since you can only use one syllable words and no hand movements to describe your clues. And the club! You get to whack your opponent if they break one of the rules! You do end up taking like a Neanderthal lol

You're only allowed to give clues using one syllable words and if you mess up, the other team gets to bonk you with the club! The kids loved that part the most! This game is an absolute hit for the whole family!

We played this game with our 6 and 8-year-olds and they had so much fun. It is perfect for anyone who knows how to read and is quick and easy to get started. Some of my favorite aspects are the video instructions which are great for kids who often tune parent voices out and the actual game packaging. I love how organized it is and how there's a spot to put the timer on "pause" when needed. And of course, the kids loved the inflatable club - our 3yo was the designated judge with hilarious results.

We had so much fun playing this game....it's more challenging than you'd think to only speak in one syllable words! The kids really enjoyed the "no stick" and for me it was really motivating NOT to break the rules as I didn't want to get the wrath of the stick ha ha!
