I purchased this for my daughters' 11th birthday. She loves to sing and it would have been the perfect gift for her. When we got it all hooked up, she was SO excited to try it out. Her excitement only lasted thru a song and a half when the cd suddenly stopped. Upon further investigation, we found out that something had broken & that the cd would no longer spin. She was really disappointed. Didn't even have time to enjoy it as it only lasted about 5 minutes. Would suggest that you Do NOT buy this product!!

I bought this for my daughter who loves listening and singing along with music. Opened it Christmas morning, she listened to her CDs for 3-4 hours and the CD player completely stopped working. No power, nothing. The power button for the unit still comes on, but that is it. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I bought this unit because of the majority of good reviews in relationship to the bad ones, but I got burnt this time. Returning it to my local store ASAP and will not exchange it for a like item!

I ordered this for my 7 year old daughter for Christmas morning. It does not work..... the unit turns on and you can talk into the microphone, however the cd's do not turn, so no music is put out through the speakers, nor words onto the TV screen. I will be returning this to the store!

I got this Karaoke machine for my older grand-daughter who has a great little singing voice. I thought she could practice her singing and record herself and then play it back so she could hear what she sounds like. I turns out the whole family is playing with it, they're fighting for turns on it. Who knew!!!

I purchased this product as a gift for my daughter for her 11th birthday. She loves it and uses it almost everyday. I liked that it hooked up to the tv in her room so you can see the words. The other machines have small screens on the unit itself that were had to read. It is very portable and can be hooked to any tv or monitor. My only complaint is that you can't hear yourself on the microphone very well but others can hear you just fine. It only came with one microphone - I am looking for another so my girls can sing together. Its a great first karaoke machine for a child or teen, especially for the price. It was exactly as pictured, exactly what I expected and it even came with a karaoke CD so the kids could try it out right away. I had it shipped to my home, it arrived just in time for her birthday party and was in great condition.

We purchased this for our 4.5 yr old daughter for xmas this year(2008) after reading everyones elses reviews...they were right..this is an awesome machine!!! She loves it..heck we all love it!! We may have an American Idol in the making here!!! The quality of the mic is awesome and like a professional mic!! Just wish they would come with 2 mics but one can be purchased easily which I did since it has 2 jack inputs. I HIGHLY recommend this machine for the VALUE/price is GREAT for the exeptional quality, very easy to operate & love that you can just play regular cds in it too sooo its a karaoke and cd player in one even the mic works with regular cds tooo you dont just need to have karaoke cds to make the mic work!! MOST OF ALL my daughter is in her glory and just loves it soo much! We get such a kick out of watching her perform!! THIS IS A MUST HAVE!!!! BEST BUY I BOUGHT THIS YEAR!!!! I bought this for my 7 yr old granddaughter who loves to sing in front of the TV. Works great, she loved it and is singing her heart out. Works great with the TV, had no problems connecting it up. I recommend this machine to all. Remember to purchase the Karaoke CD-G's also. It doesn't come with any.

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter. It has pretty good sound and even comes with a cd to start that has a few good songs on it. I also got another cd but the word seem to lag when lighting up to sing. I am not sure if it is the machine or the cd. I will try with another cd. Overall it is a good product and great my daughter who loves to sing!

I bought this karaoke machine for my kids for Xmas (after purchasing a more expensive, poor quality one at Toys R Us!) and it works great! Good value for the price and perfect for my little ones (ages 3 and 5). Shipping price was very affordable too. Thanks Walmart!

We purchased this for my 3 year old daughter's birthday. She loves to sing and is very responsible and doesn't destroy toys. She loves it, as does her 6 year old brother. You need to turn the microphone up quite loud to hear it, and the sound quality isn't great, but the kids love it. We might replace the microphone with a better quality mic in the future, but it's appropriate for the kids. A nice step up from the 'kiddie' microphones that don't work or don't amplify voices.
