I bought this machine for my kids for Christmas 07. After 4 months of use it started acting funny. I cleaned the lens, checked the discs and made sure there wasn't anything obviously wrong. Then it stopped working altogether. The disc would spin a few times, reverse, then stop. The warranty is ONLY 3 MONTHS!!! That should be a warning to you right there! If it was a quality product they would stand behind it for longer than 3 MONTHS! I called to inquire about replacing it and they want $45 for shipping and handling to replace it. That's over half what I paid for it!! My kids are very gentle with their toys. Many are years old and still like new. This machine has never been dropped, kicked, abused, spilled on, or anything. It looks like new. It's such a shame as my kids really liked using it to sing. So if you are looking at a karaoke machine, DO NOT BUY THIS ONE!

I ordered this for my 6 year old niece as a Christmas gift. I'll admitt I actually tried it out myself before I put it under the Christmas tree. It worked great.. be sure to read the book on how to adjust the volumn...it really helped the sound. My only concern is the cd door..you kinda have to be careful when opening. Great product esp. for the price!

I ordered this for my 7 year old daughter for Christmas morning. It does not work..... the unit turns on and you can talk into the microphone, however the cd's do not turn, so no music is put out through the speakers, nor words onto the TV screen. I will be returning this to the store!

This was exactly what I hoped it would be- simple, good quality sound, and works like a charm. It does not seem cheap and works as well as systems that are way more expensive. If you are considering this system, I think that you will be very pleased. We just had a kareoke party and it was soooo much fun. The only downside is that the Kareoke CD's are the expensive part. Also, this only comes with one mic but there is an outlet for another mic (which you can buy for about $15) then people don't feel too intimidated to sing into it if they have someone else singing with them. Note, there is nothing fancy about this (like some of the more expensive machines- fading, etc) but there is an echo button and you can make the background music quieter or louder but that is about it. Still it is great and we love it!

This Karaoke box seem to be such a fun item to have in your home if you want to share family time together with your kids. I got it to have a Karaoke night at my family reunion, but I think that my kids and I is going to wear it out before july of 2009 when our reunion is. Try it you will love it! :)

I purchased 5 of these on sale on line for $38.00. 3 went to my grandchilren and great grandchild, a friend bought another, and my daughter bought one for her step-grandson. Now listen, everyone from 3 to 63 enjoyed these Karaoke machines. Easy to use even the 3 year had no problem. Would recommend the machine to anyone who loves music or any adult for hours of fun.

The ability to raise the microphone's volume was poor. Music sounded "hollow" coming out of speakers. Easy to set up, but short cables. The unit would have to be pretty close to the TV or you would most likely want to buy longer cables from electronic store

Bought this for my boys - the whole family has used it and we have had a blast! This is the second karaoke machine we have purchased; first one (different brand) I was not impressed with so I was a little skeptical. This one is well worth the money and I love site-to-store option for shipping.

I bought this machine for my 5 year olds birthday. What a hit. She love to perform. By the way the adults love it also. Defiinately would reccomend.

The words on the screen skipped or did not keep up with the music. When singing, your words were delayed. Not a good product.
