we got this for our 3 year old daughter's birthday. it is incredible for the price. you get beyond your money's worth. it is fun and easy to use. like i said she is 3, and has absolutely no problem working it. when she feels like singing and dancing "to Jesus" she doesn't even need help getting it going. we absolutely love it. during the day, she will even play with it (without music) narrating her actions. so much fun, even for the adults!!

This is the only karaoke machine I used so there is nothing to compare to. It is easy to use. It would be nice if the volume could be even more quiet. The instruction booklet was good. I was a bit confused in using the "skip" button. I thought you were to press STOP first according to page E11, then SKIP, but that would cause you to go back to the first song track. To skip a song, I just pressed SKIP after a song ended and when the next song would come on. I did not try PROGRAM so I don't know how that will work. If the instruction manual gave step by step instructions for playing a disc, it would be a better product. The booklet tells what each button or dial does, but not what sequence to press the buttons or turn the dials in playing a typical cd + g disc.

Bought this for my daughters 9th birthday, we had so much fun singing talking and playing with the ehco. It works very well with our home stereo, mu hubby pluged it all in and the music and mic play perfectly ballenced. I also have a daycare, and the kids are having fun with it. It's been 3 days since the party and we have used it everyday. Only one bad point, the words on the TV sometimes don't work right, don't highlight. But if you know the songs your good to go!!

This item is a great product for the value and price. It was extremely hard to find this item anywhere else. Shipping was a bit slow, but I am pleased with how everything was handled. I'm very happy with my new singing machine and look forward to professionally using it!

For the price of this unit - I was very impressed. I picked up an extra corded mic - and this unit played on Christmas longer than I would have liked - but the kids just loved it. We used cds, and karaoke cds. even the demo cd. We are going to get the dvd converter - and then we'll be set. For the money spent - this is great. I have no complaints at this point. The kids have been using it everyday for the past week. Hopefully it will hold up.

I bought this for my daughter who loves listening and singing along with music. Opened it Christmas morning, she listened to her CDs for 3-4 hours and the CD player completely stopped working. No power, nothing. The power button for the unit still comes on, but that is it. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I bought this unit because of the majority of good reviews in relationship to the bad ones, but I got burnt this time. Returning it to my local store ASAP and will not exchange it for a like item!

When my daugter and son opened this gift for Christmas, they went right to singing on it. The demo CD didn't work, but I already had another karaoke CD to play for them. I was nervous at first that it didn't work, but it did and does, and the sound quality is great for the price! It's perfect for small time use in the home, or at a party. One just has to turn the mic volume up fairly high in order to hear yourself sing. Overall, it's a great product, and I would recommend it to others.

We purchased this for our young daughters (6 and 8) for Christmas and it is a big hit! We already own a nice quality microphone that works well with the unit. Other reviewers mentioned that the quality of the microphone included was an issue. I agree, but our solution was a quick and easy one. Terrific value and a fun product. Highly recommend!

I bought a higher priced karaoke machine with added features: camera, video screen, etc. that did not perform well. I returned the machine and bought this one. I have been pleased with the performance of this product for the price I paid for it. It is great for parties and social activities.

We purchased this for our 4.5 yr old daughter for xmas this year(2008) after reading everyones elses reviews...they were right..this is an awesome machine!!! She loves it..heck we all love it!! We may have an American Idol in the making here!!! The quality of the mic is awesome and like a professional mic!! Just wish they would come with 2 mics but one can be purchased easily which I did since it has 2 jack inputs. I HIGHLY recommend this machine for the VALUE/price is GREAT for the exeptional quality, very easy to operate & love that you can just play regular cds in it too sooo its a karaoke and cd player in one even the mic works with regular cds tooo you dont just need to have karaoke cds to make the mic work!! MOST OF ALL my daughter is in her glory and just loves it soo much! We get such a kick out of watching her perform!! THIS IS A MUST HAVE!!!! BEST BUY I BOUGHT THIS YEAR!!!!
