I bought 4 of the pillows and when I opened the box the smell was terrible. It smelled like a combination of chemicals and mold. We tried airing them out and putting an extra pillow cases on them but the smell came through. It was awful and made them unusable. I reached out to Tempurpedic to return them and they said 'no' because they only take pillows back if there is a 'defect'. They gave me suggestions for how to make them smell less bad (e.g. sit on them (!?) to expel the odor, roll them from end to end, leave them to "air out" for some unknown period of time). In my view it is a completely ridiculous attitude for them to take since they clearly know the pillows have an odor but don't mention it in the product description.

The pillow is about the right firmness, yet maintains its form even after 6 months of its usage so far. Also, the pillow has a detachable cover, so it really helps when maintaining cleanliness.

Not to mention chiropractor visits and massages. I finally decided to try the Tempur-Cloud pillows and ditch all my neck support pillows. I have not had any trouble in months!!! I decided that I was not interested in settling when it came to comfort. I am SO happy I splurged on these nice, firm pillows instead of just buying any random pair for cheap. Since I purchased these nearly 6 months ago, my sleep has dramatically improved overall. I even talked one of my housemates into investing in them. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I sleep on my side and I had a Tempur-Pedic pillow for many years (I know I should have changed it out sooner) and I loved it! It was the first and only pillow I have ever loved. (I had the one that is just one rectangular-ish piece of foam, not the one with the molded shape that has the built-up area to firmly support your neck.) I always took it with me on long road trips. Even sometimes when I would fly on an airplane I packed it in a suitcase. I took it to our lake place when we went there every weekend in the summer. I took it with me even, or should I say especially, when camping. Any time I was going to have to sleep away from home I took my pillow because it was so important to me for getting a good night's sleep. It was just the right softness. It molded to my specific head shape. It did not smash my ear until I woke up with it throbbing in pain (I have slept on pillows before that did that.) It kept my neck and spine in alignment instead of making my head too high and putting a crick in my neck. It never gave me a headache from a strained neck. I loved the way the whole side of my face sunk into it. So, when I finally replaced it because it was so old and stained and smelly, I knew I would buy no other pillow but a Tempur-Pedic. They have come out with more styles, shapes and firmness choices during those many years that I owned mine, so I was not sure which one was most like my original one. I chose the softest kind. I think I got it right! I love my new pillow! Next time I have to buy a pillow I will buy a Tempur-Pedic again! I really want to get a Tempur-Pedic mattress someday too!!

Seems like I get to sleep much easier, and mostly stay asleep. If I do have to get up in the night, I go back to sleep much easier. Thanks, Tempur-pedic!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Get better sleep for me. I had previous pillow and was just tossing and turn. Now I can easily for asleep and get my 8 hours sleep without the hassle or tiredness when getting up in the morning for my daily routine.

To soft for a back sleeper and just ok for a side sleeper. I prefer a firmer pillow that I don't sink in. My wife will not even use hero's, it gives her headaches. We took off the zipper covers it came with and took a full week to air out the smell. We also ordered the cooling covers which was a waste of money as well. Since these items are non returnable, we put them in the guest room. We were going to buy a king sized bed but due to the return policy on products. We will be buying elsewhere.

I'm a stomach sleeper. I've tried a dozen different pillows. All made my neck hurt. All types, all thicknesses. I liked the description of this pillow and bought two. I really do love them. They actually cradle my head and neck instead of lifting them up. It truly lived up to the description and I definitely recommend them.

Since buying these pillows, the pain has gone away!! I love how soft and fluffy they are and that they don't flatten out as soon as you lay your head on it.
