[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every vacuum I've owned the roll immediately gets stopped up with one use, and I need to take it apart to clean it. The self cleaning brushroll on this cleaner is phenomenal. I own two golden retrievers, a bunny, and a long haired cat. Not to mention, two young children! Pet fur and random paper bits are a never ending story in my house. This vacuum has been nothing but Heaven so far. It was very easy to put together right out of the box. When it's time to empty the canister, it is as easy as a touch button to release it from the cleaner and then another touch button to dump it in the trash. I also love the color of it. The only thing I wish it had was a retractable cord. This vacuum is absolutely a 9/10.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been enjoying using the Shark Vacuum. It has great suction and is light and easy to move around the house. I first used it to clean up the playroom which is also where our cats hang out, and I was surprised at how much hair and dirt it was able to clean out of there. I've been using it in there almost every other day and I love how the brush roll still looks brand new and hair is never tangled up in it. I also use it in Lift-Away mode with the wand so that I can get under the beds and clean all of the dust bunnies out of there. My wife even says that it is super light and she doesn't have any issues getting into small places with it. We also have some large rugs that are heavy pile and have been known to jam up other vacuums, but with the Shark there wasn't any issues and it was also very easy to push across the heavy pile rug and never got stuck. The detachable handle is fantastic with the upholstery wand and crevice tool which lets me get all of the crumbs left over by my little one. The suction is fantastic and I love that everything is connected to the vacuum so I don't have to worry about hunting down a part when I want to use it. Also the cord is easily wrapped around the cord keeps when putting it away but is just as easy to remove when the I want to use the vacuum. One small thing that I love is that the cord keeper has a little notch to hold the cord up a bit so you don't have to keep reaching up to the ground to pick it up and also helps keep it out of the way so you don't constantly have to hold the cord when using the vacuum. This is such a small thing but makes a big difference when in use. Emptying the dust bin is super easy and I don't find that I have to bang it against the trash been to make sure everything comes out. I also like that it is very easy to get to the filters so I can clean or replace them as needed. The Shark vacuum has helped me keep my house cleaner and has also made that task much easier than it was before.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Shark Rotator Vacuum works great! The self cleaning Brushroll is a great feature that works really well. The swivel function turns on a dime. It sucks up equally well on carpet and hardwood floors. The attachments work well on my stairs and in corners and crevices. It's made well and does everything I need it to do. I cannot recommend this vacuum enough!

I've had the Shark Rotator Model NV501 for years and have bragged about this vacuum to everyone. Recently, the roller brush stopped working so rather than troubleshooting, I decided to just purchase this vacuum as a replacement/upgrade and couldn't be more disappointed in Shark! The power cord is a LOT shorter than the older model; I have a 1,000 square foot tiny home and have to plug and unplug this vacuum into 3 different areas to clean my home. The older model cleaned my entire home in just 1 outlet! The square shaped canister on this newer model is awful. It is not only heavier and bulkier than the older round canister, but when you use it in the lift away mode, the square and bulky design of the canister flips over onto its side constantly, not only an aggravation but will seriously bust up your hardwood floors and base boards. The round design canister of the older model is much more lightweight and would turn and swivel with you as you moved around vacuuming. Lastly, the motorized floor nozzle is good for nothing more than cleaning carpets/area rugs. When trying to use the motorized floor nozzle on hard floor surfaces, trails of dust are left behind and the device is too bulky to get into smaller areas like around table and chair legs, floor sides of toilet areas or underneath sofa or dresser areas. The older model included a versatile floor cleaning attachment made for carpet or bare floors which was certainly more economical for cleaning hard surface areas. For the cost of this vacuum cleaner, it is an insult to suggest that the consumer purchase the "hard floor" attachment separately in order to use this vacuum cleaner on a hard floor surface when your product is listed as being both a carpet and floor cleaner. Make the power cord longer and include a hard floor surface cleaner if Shark is going to pride itself in selling a "versatile" vacuum cleaner at this cost!

This is by far the best vacuum cleaner I have ever used. I can not believe how much dirt this picks up. I vacuumed my carpet- which was not really needed but I wanted to try it out- the amount of dirt this picked up was amazing. I love the lift away feature because it makes it so easy to do steps. This vacuum made me a believer and I will never by another brand.

Have had my shark Rotator for just a few months a d today while sweeping the house the head stopped working when I would pull the vacuum back towards me. I had a shark before and was not 100% happy with it which made me hesitant to buy another Shark product. Well today has shown me I should of went with a different brand for sure. I am not happy.

We love this vacuum. Gave it a four star only for the fact that I wish it had a retractable cord on it. Love that you can take the canister off to make it easier to do walls, ceilings or stairs. Our animals shed all year round. So the whole cleans itself bristles makes this thing even more amazing. The suction power this vacuum has is amazing. It picks up more than any other one we have owned. The cord is long enough to reach into most other rooms without having to unplug it. The instructions to put it together in my opinion were easy to follow. All in all this is an amazing vacuum.

I bought an upright, 2 robots, and a small, skinny upright. I also have a shark iron. I'm very impressed with the high quality of Shark products and the reasonable cost of each product. I truly believe that they are truthful and stand firmly by their product lines. Thank you be Shark for the reliability you've demonstrated. LVP

Holy Cow! Was looking for a great vacuum for cleaning my car from my fur babies who drop so much hair I jokingly tell people I'm running a dog hair farm. I got tired of paying to get my car detailed and then getting upset because I still see dog hair embedded in the carpet fibers, especially in the back of the SUV. On a whim I decided to wash my own car and wanted a vacuum that could at least get some of the embedded dog hair up. Actually bought a hand-held vac as recommended by the store associate but brought it back immediately because it stopped working on the first try. Decided I'd rather have a small unit that could plug into a socket so I could get through the car in one try and lo and behold I got way more than I bargained for. It's not the cheapest vacuum out there but it was within the amount that I had set aside; more importantly the box had a picture of the vacuum with a lift-away option. I got way more than I hoped for! I thought I'd just be able to get the car somewhat clean from dog hair, especially where it's been imbedded for months. In just under 30 minutes there is literally not one dog hair left in my car - and it didn't take a long time to vacuum it all out; the suction power is incredible. I am still dumbstruck by this! Not only that, I put the entire vacuum together in 3 minutes and never needed to look at the manual - I've rarely been able to use an owner's manual and put something together easily so this was shocking and a great surprise. I also emptied the dust container without having to read instructions. I feel totally powerful LOL. It's lightweight and easy to use and now I'll try it on the house since there's a hard floor cleaner. I suspect I'll get through that in record time as well; can't wait to see all the dog hair and beach sand disappear. This is definitely one of the best product investments that I've ever made.

It makes vacuuming a breeze. I love how it can pick up hair without being tangled in the brush. My kids actually love to use it now. Even when using the tool, the suction is powerful and it lifts up everything. I love the option it has to lift away making cleaning on the stairs easier. I definitely recommend.
