We're so disappointed! We LOVE KitchenAid products - when we remodeled our kitchen we chose all KitchenAid appliances so we expected the same quality when we purchased this toaster oven. It worked wonderfully for about a year and then we smelled a burning smell and KAPUT - it wouldn't come on again. We were willing to buy an expensive toaster oven because we expected it to last but if it was only going to last a year we would have been better off buying a $50 B

Bought as a gift for my elderly mother. Had it 2 years to the day and it sent a small fireball out (I was here to actually witness the event) and died! Now I am stuck with yet another problem toaster oven. Why can't you make a quality product with a lifetime beyond the warranty? Sucks to be a consumer in the USA. Might I add, we live in a lovely home and took great care of this appliance. I really wanted to give you a great review. If I can have a replacement for my mother I would thoroughly appreciate that!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For years I had a countertop oven/broiler and used it to make dinner nearly every night. When it finally died I didn't replace it. This oven/broiler does just as good a job broiling meat or baking acorn squash as my gas oven and it doesn't heat up the kitchen in hot weather! Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the automatic shut off and the Bing to let you know when your meal is done. The only thing that disappointed me was the short cord. That meant I had to move it to a different location than what I originally planned, and that meant I had to move other things as well. Not my favorite solution as I have a very small kitchen, but I still love the oven!

My family found this countertop oven to be pretty solid while it lasted, but we were ultimately very disappointed by its short lifetime. After about 2 years it started heating only intermittently on all settings, and eventually stopped working all together. It was great while it lasted and replaced our full-sized oven for about 75% of the time, but it's totally unacceptable for a small appliance from a brand like KitchenAid (with a KitchenAid price tag) to only last 2 years. One other minor annoyance is the extremely loud clicking noise of the timer counting down on both the toast function and timed baking/broiling/warming. But I could definitely put up with that noise if the thing actually worked.

This ovens plug/cord gets very hot while in use & my actual wall receptical gets very hot as well. I'm concerned that this is a fire hazard & should be thrown out. I have written to Kitchenaid asking for a replacement, so I will see what they say. Very disappointed after paying a lot of money for this oven.

I dislike digital fancy features, so I wanted an oven similar to the old one as possible, eventhough the price was double. I truly enjoyed both ovens, the only negative is that the old oven broke after only 5 years of use. I expected the oven to last longer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a smaller one for a few years and liked not having to have a toaster - or heating up a large over for a smaller need. The KitchenAid takes care of both, and it's a bit larger than the one I had. Perfect size for all kinds of food prep.
