We're sorry to learn you're having problems with the sprayer on your current bottle of Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray, Deb. Make sure the trigger on the sprayer is unlocked. The product should be in the locked position on store shelves. There is a cutout in the white plastic that shows a yellow marking at the top of the sprayer. The tip of the nozzle also has a cutout. When those cutouts are matched up and the yellow shape is completed, then it is unlocked. When the cutouts are not matched up and the yellow shape is incomplete, it is in a locked position. To unlock the nozzle simply grasp the tip of the nozzle and turn to match up the cutouts. Once unlocked and ready to spray, ensure to pull the trigger firmly and all the way for a full spray. ​​​​​If this doesn't help, call us for more assistance. We suggest making sure that the dip tube inside the bottle is facing the right way; the correct direction for the dip tube is in the same direction as the sprayer, and the bottom of it should be in the corner. To change the direction of it, disconnect the sprayer from the bottle and make sure the sprayer and dip tube face the same direction. As well, to loosen any clogs that may have occurred, we suggest running warm water over the nozzle for a few minutes. We hope this is helpful. We're so sorry to learn your Dawn Platinum Powerwash Dish Spray bottle is having this problem. Our Quality Team shares this can sometimes happen if the pressure hasn't been fully release. Fully squeeze the trigger a few times into the sink, making sure the trigger is fully depressed. This should allow the bottle to return to its normal state. If it doesn't, remove the sprayer from the bottle, reinsert the drip tube so that it's facing the same direction as the nozzle, and reattach it. In the future, make sure to fully squeeze the trigger each time when spraying. This will stop the collapsing you're experiencing.

Because of the hard work of our Quality Team, who only allows products that meet our high standards to head out to your local store, we’re confident your bottle and sprayer should work great. We're sorry you missed the directions on how to unlock the sprayer. Look at the top of the sprayer and the nozzle. You’ll see two yellow half-circles, one in each place. Align them to form a full, complete yellow circle. Then, give the trigger a slow, but steady and strong pull, all the way back to the bottle. You should see a semi-continuous spray of foamy soap leave the nozzle. You may need to do this a few times, if you’ve never used the spray before. Give us an update on how it’s going.
