Awesome TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tv a little over a month ago and the picture is amazing. I haven't calibrated the picture at all and still looks way better than the old tv. Possibly could get better with some calibration.

Excellent TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cannot compare to competitive products, as I do not have them and would not trust observations made in an uncontrolled glaring fluorescent store. But as a replacement for a 10 year old high-end projector, it is great. It's a smaller image, but great picture. The blacks are just - wow. Great image from any angle. I feed my HDMI sources direct into the TV and audio out via HDMI ARC to a receiver which works fine. Sometimes I think there may be some A/V sync issues with that method but nothing that has been bothersome. The audio seems ok from the TV itself, but obviously much better from a separate quality 5.1 channel system. I still use the TV's remote on occasion but I've been able to get my universal remote programmed to control the TV. So, clearly deserves the accolades it has gotten. A top-notch TV for sure. Relatively thin and light for it's size and an amazing picture. Even upconverting SD or HD content to 4k seems to work very well. And the "tru-motion" can be turned off which is my preference. a little bonus - a type of screensaver - the "gallery" gives a good looking picture in frame and the very thin bezel makes it look like a piece of art on the wall. A couple of "extras" seem not to be perfect for me - but they are not important and there are easy work-arounds. HDMI CeC is way too slow with my Nexus Player (that normally responds to a Bluetooth remote) but that's probably the device. Haven't tried it on other devices, and it can be turned off so that's fine. There could be better software - Netflix occasionally loses signal (could be my internet connection but doubtful - i'm wired gigabit and running over 300Mbps and have not experienced that on other streaming devices although they are not 4k hdr). Also, the ability to play video files on my NAS is there but limited. But WebOS is just a bonus feature and of course an external streaming box can be used. And it typically works fine for both Netflix and Amazon. (I don't use others very much)

Great looking picture right out of the box!
I could not be more pleased with this TV. The picture is breathtaking right out of the box with almost no adjustment needed. Internet setup was a breeze and the operating system is lightning fast. The audio is much better than expected and my installation, no sound bar or supplemental sound system is needed. A truly outstanding experience.

beautiful picture
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tv is perfect for watching movies, sports, etc. Especially, Disney animated movies. There is no blurry while watch sports, playing games, or any action movies. Also easy to set up various picture mode and very convenience to use remote. The price is kind of expensive but it's worth it if you the person who love watching movies, sports, and playing games.

Exceeded All Expectations!
I have had my new LG TV since Black Friday weekend. It has exceeded all expectations with respect to picture and overall functionality. I would absolutely recommend this TV. It is well worth spending the extra money if you are considering it. The picture is down right jaw dropping. The set is easy to use and I am still exploring all the functionality. No regrets whatsoever with selecting this TV.

The best television ever made!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tv is quite simply the best I've ever seen. The picture quality is beyond anything I could have imagined. It has multiple viewing modes to fit your needs and they all take advantage of the oled display. The new A9 chip is super fast and responsive. The interface is easy to navigate and the voice remote is very convenient. The Dolby Atmos sound capability offers crisp surround sound when paired with my system. This tv looks stunning even when turned off! I've convinced half of my family and friends to get an LG Oled display after seeing mine.

Lives up to the hype!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've now had this set for a month now and I have to say, this display absolutely lives up to all the hype. Setup right out of the box was easy, and the factory calibration settings on most inputs we're the closest to ideal I've ever seen. Visually, nothing pops like HDR content on OLED, and everyone I've had over has commented on how great content looks (even with the lights on). The display design gets compliments too, people love how thing most of the display is. It's probably got the best stock remote I've ever seen, but it's got a lot of tech built in so replacements won't be cheap. I should also mention that after a solid month of usage (gaming as well as movies), I haven't seen even a trace of burn in even when looking for it with grayscale test screens. That said, there are a few issues. Dark details can get crushed, though it's not as bad with HDR content as I was expecting. For me, I think motion interpolation looks unnatural (soap opera effect) and LG's TruMotion is no different. Unfortunately it's turned on by default on every input. Probably the biggest technical issue is that HDMI 2.1 isn't supported, so this set doesn't support 4K video and 120hz content simultaneously. There isn't much (if any) content that this would affect, but it could be an annoyance for some in the future. I'm not a fan of the VEGA mount design either, the center of gravity is so low that the display can tilt forward if the mount isn't strong enough to resist it. It's a small annoyance, but it could be addressed by altering placement or the design of the electronics package. There are some potential privacy issues here too, as there are several features that require data (such as content viewed) to be reported back to LG. There are options to disable this information sharing, however, some features will be disabled. Hopefully LG will make some of these available without sharing data in the future, but the industry trend isn't great right now. Other than those (admittedly small) things, this looks like it's the best set I've owned, maybe better than the plasma sets of old. Here's to hoping LG keeps it up.

AWESOME TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had the TV for a few weeks. I have not had it calibrated yet but did some adjustments of my own. the picture quality is one of the best I've seen to date. even with no calibration and some minor adjustments of my own. the picture quality was the most important thing to me as to why I purchased the TV. I have it connected to my home theater so I don't use a sound bar. I also haven't used any of the apps on the TV for I use other avenues for this. once I have the TV calibrated I will amend my review. I HIGHLY recommend this tv!

A Joy To Watch
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this 3 weeks ago. I have it wall mounted and it is beautiful. It is very, VERY thin; thinner than a cell phone. I really enjoy the "minimalistic" design. Less is more in this case. Setting up the TV for watching is extremely simple and the picture quality is superb! Network feed came over very clearly and the picture look like it was upscaled. Very sharp, clear picture and I thought the color accuracy out of the box was tremendous! As for the audio, it's not terrible, but I've been spoiled for years with 7.1 so...upgrading to at least a sound bar would be a good idea but isn't essential. My philosophy is if you're spending to get this TV then more than likely you can afford to upgrade the sound. The TV has HDR and Atmos capability so I spent a few bucks and got myself a high end BluRay player to highlight all the features of this TV. Treated myself to Planet Earth II......Now THIS is the reason why one does the aforementioned "spending a few bucks" on electronics!! Absolutely STUNNING!! Perfect blacks, great color accuracy and incredible detail, all in glorious 4K HDR!! This gets so detailed you could count the hairs on a snow leopard or the feathers on an eagle. There was absolutely zero judder with motion nor any crushing of color or the blacks. Sweet detail!! The a9 processor does its job well. I could go on for a long time touting this TV, but I will try to leave it a bit easier. I personally love it! I've seen a bit of what it can do and I totally believe it was money well spent. If you are in the market, don't just take my word trying to describe Planet Earth II. I strongly suggest going to your nearest brick and mortar store and view this. I already know you'd end up agreeing with me on the picture quality. I think it is a good value at its' price point and at the end of the day it's an OLED and it's amazing!

A think screen of color
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tv about a month ago to replace a 10 year old plasma tv. The plasma had a good colorful picture that could be viewed from almost any angle. I wanted a tv that would live up to need. This LG is much lighter in weight which made it easier to hang. The LG can also be viewed from just about every angle as well. It has great features, including Alexa controlled. If you are like us though and streaming tv through a Roku player that feature evades a practical use as it cannot change channels. We love this tv, with the exception of one aspect. We have this tv in a den that has a lot of outside light. During the day and night we have it set to the Expert Bright setting. This seems great for evening and night but is not bright enough to be top notch during the day. I have briefly tried the other settings and it seems that another setting might work reasonlly well during the day but not yet figured out which one. In other words, it is unlike the plasma in that it is not bright in any setting. This seems to be a tv that needs to be adjusted for daylight and dark. If the tv was always in low lightening, it would be a super tv. If we figure out a good setting for daylight that still means that adjustments will have to be done every day. When we get used to that it probably will not be a factor at all. On the really good side, the tv has much more realistic color to me, than a plasma. You really get to see true black and in lower light you seem to get more natural looking scenes without the glaring bright colors. I think I can find a setting for day but I haven't wanted to take the time. If the tv holds up for a long period of time without problems, I would say it is a great tv to purchase.
