Amazing image and user friendly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this TV for about a month. This is my first 4K OLED and I'm very impressed! The controls are easy to use. I've not used the voice command much yet... it's hard to get used to the idea :-). One problem I've been having is that Netflix and Curiosity Stream hang some times when loading a video. I have to back out to home then come back in. It's a minor annoyance that I'm sure will be fixed. To be fair these issues may be with the streaming service and not the TV's OS. However, the fact that two different ones are doing it causes me to think it's the TV. The pointer cursor on the TV is very good, gives a good feel of communication with the TV's interface. Only think that can get annoying is that the on-screen cursor gets out of synch with where you're pointing it. It's easy to re-align though.

Spectacular picture!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I had words to adequately describe the picture on this television, it's unbelievably spectacular! The only complaint I have was regarding the unpacking instructions. These were a series of incomprehensible drawings. Now this needs to be fixed.

Fantastic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously had a less than 2yr old curved screen LG 4k HDR OLED tv which was phenomenal but this is even better which I find to be remarkable. Picture is crystal clear and the colors are rich and deep. I previously owned s Samsung's and bought them regularly but I'm now a true LG OLED convert.

Amazing Picture from an Amazing TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this TV for a little over a month and am still discovering different features and still astounded by the image quality. Many who are looking at these OLEDs already know how great the image quality is but i did not expect to use some of the additional features such as the ThinQ seamlessly integrating with alexa/google home, gallery mode serving as an attractive screen saver, and multiple HDR modes which all look fantastic. The C8 serves as an amazing centerpiece to my living room and I expect it will for many years to come.

Beautiful TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been living with my new OLED55C8PUA for about three weeks now and we're loving it. The display is absolutely stunning when viewing full 4K content. Only thing lacking, and something I fully expected, is the sound. The built in speakers are underwhelming, even though LG boasts about how god they are. Watching movies from the built in speakers makes it difficult to hear dialog in louder action-style movies and my now outdated surround system doesn't support 4K, ARC and Atmos.I'm now looking for a soundbar to complete the package and then this will be a perfect setup. If you're looking for a wonderful OLED, look no further. The thing is a thing of beauty!

Stunning color and sharpness!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I read a lot about LG OLEDs prior to my purchase and couldn't imagine that expectations could possibly be met, but I was shocked and amazed by the colors and sharpness of the 4K OLED screen. I was further impressed by the TVs ability to upscale 1080p content. I even put on a 50th anniversary blu-ray edition of The Sound of Music to see how it would look, and it looked like a contemporary movie on this TV! Very impressed. By far the best TV experience I've ever had. That magic remote is pretty advanced as well. The universal remote pairing functionality is better than any I've seen and the cursor pointer was like a Wii remote. Super handy!

Amazing

Remember when you first looked at an HD TV and thought how incredible it looked compared to normal TV? That's what this TV looks like compared to "normal" HD. The picture quality is better than anything I've seen, truly. The blacks are so perfect it takes a little getting used to. Dark scenes will seem like they need the brightness turned up, but resist the temptation. When the scene brightens up it's perfect - which is when you realize it's just that you're seeing dark scenes the way they were filmed. In the dark. Clarity, color, sharpness, all epic. 4k movies and TV, along with the ones filmed in "Dolby Vision" look really impressive, but i see the most incredible difference in games. I bought a PS4 Pro just for this TV, and with a game designed to output in 4k HDR, the imagery is jaw dropping. Sound processing is pretty impressive to, since the TV is capable of Dolby ATMOS - which my sound setup isn't. But, even in good old 5.1 surround it's great. The TV itself is like sculpture, such a thin piece of glass, with no bezel adding to the overall size. The interface is pretty slick as well, easy to get used to and navigate once you've played with it for a few minutes. I did have one hiccup with the remote, but resolved it and it's fine again. Overall, if you're even considering a TV in this price range, get this one. If you're wondering if it's worth the price, given other 4K TVs can be had for half the price, yes, I'd say without question it's worth it.

Wow, what a picture!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had this TV for a few weeks now so I can only speak to initial impressions. Honestly, I wasn't sure I like this thing the first time I watched it. The picture was TOO good. I had a 12 year old 42" LCD TV and my idea of watching TV was as though I had film over the screen. What was shown on the other side of the film provided a nice separation between me and the show. With this OLED, it as though the film was removed and I am sitting in the middle of a live show. I can see everything in great detail because of the amazing contrast, color, and HDR. The blacks are truly black. A show or movie ends and the TV disappears in the unlit room. On the old LCD TV, when the show ended I could still find my way around the room due to the back lit screen. Now, I have to feel my way around to find a light switch. This thing is amazing!

Outstanding 4K picture.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Watching 4K programming on this TV is simply stunning. The picture is so clear and the colors are so vibrant that leaves you speechless. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that it's normal high definition (1080p) picture is just OK. The old plasma TV I had had a better 1080 P picture than this Oled. But if you're main use for this TV is to watch 4K programming, then absolutely get this TV.

Poor Internet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The picture on this set was beyond comparison to any others I had seen, and I looked at a lot of them before buying. The sound was the main reason I chose this TV because the sound deflector on the bottom directed the audio out towards the viewer and made the audio much more clear. But..., aside from the local channels I get, I stream all of my programming and the internet connection on this TV was very poor. I could not keep it connected, and in the setup screen it told me there was no internet connection, even after I repeated the setup multiple times. I even went online to the support site and that was a total waste of time. So I reconnected my Roku box and it had no problems whatsoever with the connection. I have a high end Asus RT-AC3100 router and a 400mbps broadband cable connection. But the TV kept telling me there was no internet connection, and I tried both the wireless and wired connections. Nothing helped, so I returned it to the store and bought a different brand. The other TV had no issue with the internet.
