Amazing Picture from HD Sources

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV easily produces the best picture that money can buy. Amazing color and contrast, and the motion handling is definitely improved over previous years. Also, gaming on this thing is an absolute treat (from my Switch at 720p to full 4K from a PS4 Pro, the Image Quality and very low input lag are great). Really reaching to find many cons with the TV honestly - but if I had to find some, the Magic Remote seems to be a battery hog a bit (just got a battery level reminder after only a few weeks). Besides that, the sound from the internal speakers are OK, but nothing to write home about. Overall VERY happy with the set, and its a highly recommended buy

Awesome TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is the best TV you can get hands down. The picture quality just blows you away, sometimes it's like looking through a window watching It Go on live. It has amazing colors, and the black is the blackest that you could ever see on a TV.

Incredible in just about every way.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll begin with the fact that the picture is better than any TV I have ever laid my eyes on. It looks great on cable content, streaming 1080P or 4K and if you really want to see it come to life, please a 4K disc with Dolby Vision, simply stunning. Looks much better in my house than it even did on display in the store. As for audio, the TV speakers are better than many, but I paired with an LG SK10Y Dolby Atmos soundbar and it's perfect watching TV and comes to life when we put in a movie. Really good stuff. It's beautiful hanging on the wall, in gallery mode, the ThinQ and Google Assistant combo along with webOS makes this the most intelligent TV I could find. It's the start of something truly wonderful and I'm so proud to have this part of my home. You will not regret purchasing this TV, whether it's for your sunlit living room, basement or bedroom.

Great picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently replaced my 2.5 year old 50" Sharp 4K Smart TV, where the display started to malfunction, with this LG OLED 55" 4K Smart TV. WOW, what a display this LG OLED has! My only gripe is the optical audio output should always remain active for all audio modes, with whatever higher level audio (i.e. 5.1) is available. When I switch the TV to internal speakers and optical audio, the optical audio is only 2 channel PCM, even though the audio available is 5.1 (i.e. when I set to optical audio only). Also, there are too many USB ports, I'd rather have another HDMI port.

Lovey picture, good options, nice interface

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV has a fantastic picture quality. We use it mainly for Xbox One X gaming and Hulu/Netflix. Games that support 4K and HDR look so good. I don't use any of the TruMotion features, I always feel like that makes the image look unnatural. The TV's interface/OS is really nice and smooth, and the Channel+ thing is pretty neat, especially for someone that doesn't subscribe to cable or satellite. I do really wish the TV came with calibration software installed to help get the best picture for your TV/home. Overall, it's a great TV

Amazing Picture!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never knew Potus was that that orange! We upgraded from an old 40" 720P TV to this amazing work of art. Even when turned off it looks amazing. Set up was a breeze, as was mounting it on the wall. I read many reviews online suggesting turning off power saving for a brighter picture...that's good advice. 4K and regular content is fantastic. I wasted no time upgrading Netflix to 4K. Blu-ray is incredible as well. Now for the bad; I was a little disappointed at having to remove the stand to mount it on the wall...I thought the stand completed the look of the TV. I also deducted a star for the awful sound quality. At this price, it should have been better. And the fact that even thought I can use the magic remote to control the volume on my Bose 3-2-1, it will not turn the Bose on or off even though it has the capability to do so (When setting up the Bose device, you can turn the Bose on and off but not after it's set up). Tech support is pretty useless.

Absolutely Amazing Picture!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The picture on this tv is jaw-dropping. I was a little concerned about burn in, but the 2018 version has a screen saver for paused content and automatically dims static images during streaming video content. I have never seen pure blacks juxtaposed by bright refracted light shining from a street light on a television before... you will understand what I mean if you watch Ozark on Netflix in a dark room on the C8. The AI function which allows you to speak into a microphone on the remote makes searching for specific content very simple as well. I don't believe that any other 4k tv currently on the market can stand up to the lifelike depth, contrast, and richness generated by the Alpha 9 processor on the 2018 LG OLED C8 and above. It may be pricey.... but, WOW!

The Best TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very satisfied with my purchase. When I first turned it on I wasn't fully happy till I found the adjustment for power savings. It was in the Eco setting which powers down the picture settings. After putting it in regular mode it came alive! The features, picture quality are as close to perfect as you will find.

Good, but becomes pixelated in dark scenes

Overall it's a pretty good TV. I do noitice that during dark scenes (Stranger Things), it was as if the tv was trying to figure out the different levels of black, and became pixelated. The pixels were clear as day. I have a terrible time ignoring it. Hoping a firmware upgrade will correct this issue.

Excellent picture and features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this TV for about two weeks and we really love both the amazing picture quality. The first movie we watched was Avatar and it was like being in the theater. The features are also amazing. My only complaint is the remote. It works with our Xfinity cable, but I cannot get it to only show the HD channels without a lot of manual input. I highly recommend this TV.
