Disappointed

I have many Cuisinart product that I love and so when I want a mini food processor I automatically bought a Cuisinart. I have been very disappointed. I end up with very uneven results no matter what I have tried (in terms of quantity and number of pulses). I seem to always have a mixture of pulped large chunks with some of the item appropriately chopped. I wish I could return it. Right now I put it in a yard sale/donations box. A waste of money.

Small and efficient!

Small but efficient. If you are in the market for a small appliance that can do the things that you want to simplify your kitchen experience then this processor is for you. I wanted something that would chop nuts and vegetables and be an easier way for me to mix up things that I didn't want to use my larger blender for. I had a recipe for date protein balls and had tried using the blender to chop the dates. It worked but not as easily as when I got the processor. The dates were soften first and chopped so easily it made me make an extra batch to give away as a gift.

Mini chopper

The machine is very cute. However it needs a slower setting to actually chop things. If you put it on chop and run it even just a few pulses it minces or pulverizes vegetables very quickly you can’t get a good chop out of it. I’m very disappointed because that’s really what I bought it for.

Must have in any kitchen

I love this powerful little processor. I take this everywhere with me. A boat trip, yeah! I can have fresh salsa in no time. This little baby makes enough of anything for at least 4 people. Compound butters, chopped onions, eggs for an omelet it can handle it all. Clean up is a snap, just a quick hand wash.

Easy to store!

I actually purchased three a few years ago...one for me and two for daughters. Fast forward to me sending my son home with mine! I really missed it; so purchased another recently. Still love it as it is extremely handy, easy to use, (once you figure out how to snap the lid in place), and easy to clean. My new one is red and I love it....also, would never be able to “gift” these if the price wasn’t right!

does a respectable job

I bought this to replace one I owned previously in which the plastic holding the blade started to crack. Among small sized food processors this one does the best job. The only negative is how loud it is when it is working. My husband even suggested I wear ear protections when using it! Therefore, I can only give it 4 stars.

Makes great pie crust

I recently had to move and downsize. I gave away most of my bigger kitchen things like my very old Cuisinart 7. I didn’t think I would miss a food processor, but I did. I was visiting my daughter and she got out a very small Cuisinart and used it to make pie crust. It was wonderful. Fast. Flaky. She said I had purchased the Cuisinart for her about 15 years ago. When I came home I looked for a small one like hers and found one - in red. So happy. It works great. Lives on the kitchen counter because it is out all of the time. Wonderful size. Great Cuisinart Food Processor.

Do not use liquids

I've had this product for a long time and have bought 1/2 handful over the years. I do like the simplicity of buttons, easy to wash and perfect for small volume. The BIGGEST negative is any liquid spurts out of lid every single time. At first I thought it was just my 'old machine' but with every purchase it's the same thing. Once this one no longer works anymore I think it's time to move on to a different brand for same size just for this one negative. Again, great for non-liquid items.

Disappointed

We had the prior model for maybe 10 years - it was great. After finally needing a new one - we bought this model thinking it was the same. We were surprised - and not in a good way. Metal components were now made from plastic , the parts did fit as well together and it just didn’t work as well. Frankly - it was cost optimized and sucked the quality out of what was a nice machine

It's a good little machine.

It will do, but not for people who cook a lot. I had my 11 cup Cuisinart for a very long time and finally decided that rather than replace the bowl at a steep price, I would get this small F.P. as I don't cook as much anymore. I have learned that it's OK for a few smallish jobs such as grinding up Parm, but it won't get the same use as a large machine due to the reduced power and volume.
