Terrible Picture Quality

Bought this in Oct 2019 because the price was right, but it was a bad decision. In the store I could see that the picture looked hazy, but I thought it was a setting or some bad lighting so went ahead with the purchase. I regretted it as soon as I had the TV set up. Visio is good but this level/series is not. The tv went right back to the store and I bought a similarly priced LG instead. Only good things I can say is it looked nice and was easy to set up.

Great Picture

I wanted a 43 inch TV but when I looked at the reviews and price for the Vizio 50 inch screen TV I had to have it. The TV has great quality picture and the remote is easy to use. Set up was easy. It's a TV for my bedroom. I would definitely recommend this TV. Just know you have to have a SUV or truck to take this TV home! I have a Toyota Camry and no way was the box going to fit I'm my car.

Disappointed

I bought this "smart" tv so I could ditch my fire stick. I don't have cable or satellite I use sling to stream tv. So I used a fire stick to stream it. So I buy this tv and guess what you can not download any app into t.v.. There are apps preloaded into tv and that's all you can have. Most of the pre loaded apps are totally useless apps. I am very disappointed in this product. If I could do it over I would have gotten the tv I initially wanted to get.

It's an upgrade, when it works....

I bought this tv as a way to stream shows without using another device, simple to put together out of the box & then SmartCast didn't work. I went to the website and did troubleshooting, no change...called the 800 number for customer service and repeated the same process to be told it was a firmware issue that will fix itself over time....2 days later it started working. If the store was accepting returns the TV would already be gone. Otherwise, picture is good and haven't really had any issues.

Great connectivity and features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a while ago to replace another Vizio because I was impressed with the last one. We moved the old one to the bedroom and needed a little bigger one in the living room. Couldn't be happier with the new unit.

Now I am happy.

We bought this tv over2 months ago and we had problems with it. No sound. Spoke to tech on line who had to send out a tech to change the sound circuit card. Worked one day and died again. Now had to wait about 3 weeks for the new tv to arrive. Got an email that the new tv was coming. There was a number you could click to find out when it would be delivered but that didn't work. We were on a golf course playing golf when I got a call from the delivery person that they would be at our house in an hour to deliver the replacement tv. We had to leave the golf course after only playing 4 holes to race home in time to meet the truck. Delivery person was very professional in their service. What more can I say. Tv is working ok now. It took over a month to get the problem solved.

Disappointing picture and consistency

I bought this about 3 months ago. The image when it includes a lot of blacks, like watching space related shows is often very poor and looks like there is excessive compression from a low quality late 90s video. On top of that the internal speakers keep turning themselves off randomly on boot up. And now I can view catalogs of content from apps but everything fails to stream. I have spent 2 hours troubleshooting and just wiping the tv hoping that fixes

No 4k

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tv doesn't display in 4k, tried calling support and was told that there's nothing they could do. Under the settings and tv info, the display read as 1080p not 4k when I was watching a 4k program. The same program when watched on a Samsung 4k displayed as 4k

The TV will always display the highest resolution possible. It depends on your source device (DVD player, cable box, streaming device), content recording (TV show or movies), and finally your connection quality when streaming, to determine the resolution that TV will be able to display. Another good way to see the full capabilities of the TV would be to search for "4K HDR" in the YouTube app. As long as your network connection is able to support speeds needed for 4K HDR content and your YouTube video settings are set to allow 4k playback, there are some amazing looking videos. Easy Setup Especially for a Senior!

Bought this TV to replace my bedroom TV. Love that it's a smart TV and not difficult to maneuver around the features. My ONLY criticism is the setup menu print and movie icons are so small it's very difficult to read from bed. I have to make my decisions before I get in bed. I'm finally getting use to where the sleep command is without standing in front of the TV. very surprised everything is so small on a 40” TV. I've gone through the entire manual and haven't seen where I can increase the print or icons. Other that that, so far two weeks into the TV it has been great.

Vizio 70” v series

For the price its worth it, hope it last like my sony and samsung, my only complain is the processor, the new tv now adays makes some lag, coz To much of the technology, Picture quality is ok since its V series. Like my samsung 7 series. Over all i enjoy it.
