Great - when you make sure it sits flat

We purchased this a couple of weeks ago. At first, we were having problems with the large unit. It would run for a few minutes and then the "out of water" symbol would come on and it shut off. We discovered that it HAS to sit on a completely flat surface to run properly. Now it works great!!!! And, we love the portable unit - even took it on vacation with us.

doesn't last

these work great....until they don't. we bought 2 of them about 2 years ago. they have great features and humidify large rooms well. but after about a year, both of them started just shutting themselves off randomly. they will run for 30 minutes to an hour then just turn off. the humidity sensor appears to be messed up on one of them as well

I'm disappointed because it leaks!

I bought this unit 6 months ago. Then outta the blue, it started leaking just below the power button. I really liked the unit, too, up until this happened. So, now I'm back here wondering if I should risk buying another one or just pass. My guts says pass because I see others have experienced the same problem even after purchasing another unit. Ugh. So bummed.

First day it was great. Second time stopped in middle of night. Put it back on and stopped again. Same For third day. Only works if set on timer mode. Will be returning.

Worked good until it didn’t

It worked good for about 30 minutes then the red no water light came on. I babied it for a couple of days and then it started working good… worked flawlessly for about a month, then today (like many of those that bought it) I went to turn it on and noticed it had leaked about a gallon of water on my real hardwood floor! Taking it back tomorrow!

I dislike Top Fill humdifiers

I have wood floors and while I dont sit the humidifier directly on, the top fill design is too dangerous around wood floors. I love a larger take humidifier but I'm not going to carry a huge pitcher of water to the device and risk the spill. I also am concerned with it getting knocked over. The lift off tanks with a screw on bottom are way better and safer, if you ask me. i had one that looked just like this one, only black and was a lift off. Loved it but it lasted only 2 years.
