Great options, great screen, successfully cut cabl

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this TV for a while and have successfully cut cable. There are plenty of free channels and all the apps I use/want/need are pre-installed (Netflix, Apple TV, Prime, etc), plus have installed a digital antenna for local channels.

Great picture. Easy to use remote for seniors.

I've been buying Vizio TV's for over a decade now for their picture quality and durability. I recently bought this 40” 4K Smart TV for my 75+ year old mother and I'm thrilled how easy it is for her to use and understands how simple it is to switch from her old cable box to using all the new apps available built into the TV. She absolutely loves her new TV and I'm confident it will last just as long as her last Vizio TV (still works perfectly after 10 years of use)

Great value!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this TV after replacing my LG. The LG only made it a few years before going black. I had Vizio TVs for years and the quality is great. Nothing out there in the same ballpark price that is as good.

Disappointed

When I purchase this tv back in June, I was excited because of all the functionality and characteristics of this model. After mounting and setting up the tv; I was trying g to find the option for adding new Apps. Although this model provides a # of apps, I wanted to install a few more. The most important app I tried to install was my Spectrum app. I use them as my cable and internet provider. I currently access their app via my Samsung smart tv which I was able to download the app without issues. I found out after speaking to a customer service representative that Vizio does not allow customers to download apps. I can cast from an iPad or IPhone to the tv but that's not what I want. I want to be able to connect to my cable channels as I do with my Samsung tv. I don't think this was thought out much by Vizio. Currently I'm forced to us my ROKU device to access my Spectrum app. That an additional cost because I had to purchase it. I feel that the manufacturer should have stated on the package that apps can't be downloaded because Vizio does not offer an App Store. To me this is not a “Smart TV”. If I can't download apps. Ie HBO which is not offered on the list. Lastly, I was told this is an ongoing concern by customers and VIZIO is working on it but no completion date scheduled. Very Disappointed!! The only consolation is the Tv has a beautiful picture and sound. I would receive on that level

Not a great product

I bought the TV about 3 months ago and have been having problems with updates. The screen freezes, not able to update. It doesn't allow me to set up the tv after the 2nd update. Can't figure out why it doesn't allow me to move forward after I hit the factory resets. Very very disappointing to have this tv.

There is nothing I don't like.

It came down to this Vizio 50 inch 4k smart cast or a Sony Bravia I picked the Vizio because of the cost and friends recommendations and I am more than happy with it I am thrilled the picture blows any other TVs picture away in my opinion. It is a phenominal TV and I love it. The only thing I would ask is maybe they could find a way to make more apps available.

Returning <1 week Sound and Picture Faulty

I own 2 other Video TVs and was excited about getting a 50” model. Within less than a week, the sound started working intermittently and then the picture went black. I should have just returned It to store rather than going through online customer service, but that's another story. Should also add that after asking Customer Service about it, there were numerous complaints about faulty sound of the Visio. *** The silver lining is that I went to the Sam's Club and bought an LG UHD TV, 50UN73 AI ThinQ webOS (50”) and LOVE IT. The picture quality is outstanding. 3D!! The menu and remote control is next generation (but easier) and freaking awesome. ***

Worst TV Ever! Would Rate 0 Stars if I Could

Worst TV I have ever had the worst luck of owning. This model has a design flaw, which v confirmed. In less than 2 weeks of original TV purchase, several apps (Disney+, Netflix, Tubi, Crackle, etc.) would either stop working and go back to the home screen, freeze the TV and require TV to be unplugged to work again, become glitchy like there were a wifi issue, color blotching or lines on the screen OR no picture, but sound OR first frame of a movie repeating 10-20 times before movie started playing correctly again after commercials. After well over 20 phone calls with customer service and Vizio replacing my original TV with an identical model and experiencing the exact same issues within days of hooking up the replacement and starting the calls all over again, 1 person finally told me that VIZIO is aware that there is an issue with the 50" V505-H model and they are looking for a resolution. However, replacing my TV with a different model is not a suitable resolution, refunding my money is not a suitable solution (Sam's Club has said they will take the TV back tomorrow with a receipt and no box since we discarded the box when we were sent a replacement TV thinking what's the odd's of getting a useless $300 TV twice?) My warning to anyone looking at this TV is this, VIZIO admitted to me that they know there is an issue with this model and they are looking for a "resolution" but they don't have one and won't do anything to help you other than keep sending you the same TV that won't work more than a week. Don't waste your time, but something that works.

Quite disappointed.

I have to reset (unplug and plug back in) every single day now. One second it will be working fine then I change the show or movie and boom! No sound. Even when I switch input, it still doesn't work. None of my other smart tv's have this problem. It's a shame such a great brand name ends up producing a product such as this. This is definitely the last product I buy from you all. All I wanna do is watch some tv when I get home from work.

Love Vizio products

This is our 2nd Vizio and I specifically bought this one because of the first purchase. Super easy set up, good price, picture looks great has enough HDMI ports. My only complaint is the remote. I don't like that you need to go through multiple steps to set up the timer. Our other tv had a button on the timer as it's own button, on this, you have to go thru menu, thru settings etc.
