Best Investment This Year

I've never owned a Smart TV and must admit that I had to do my homework to find out "what makes them Smart" before I made my purchase. I searched many well known electronic buying guides and the 50" VIZIO V-Series V505-G9 was consistently ranked in the Top 5 TV's as a reliable with a good quality picture. After noticing this it didn't take long to convince me to purchase. Setting up and registering my TV was easy but I was laughed at how startled I was when the TV quickly [and automatically] picked up my WiFi and asked me for the passcode. I remember thinking for a split second, "my last TV didn't ask me this", but then again, my last TV purchase was not a VIZIO Smart TV. Once the setup was complete I was WOWED. The clarity of the picture was PHENOMENAL!!! It gave me the experience and feeling like I was looking at a mini movie theatre screen - and this is only a 50"!! And the applications? Overwhelming, but in a good way. I'm still navigating through each application and learning how to utilize them all. I had no idea there were so many TV viewing options out there. Thank you VIZIO for bringing out the Stone Age of "Big Back Box" TV watching and into the future of TV viewing ENTERTAINMENT!!

SPECTACULAR QUALITY PRODUCT-$$$MONEY WELL SPENT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this TV the picture quality is amazing and the customer service is excellent very easy to use and I have had zero issues with my TV and I have had it for more than 2 years now. There's more than enough hookups for all your devices and casting my telephone is easier than ever thank you for a wonderful product...

Great as a basic 4k tv

Everything's awesome it does glitch a bit every so often, I would also like to add that if your gonna buy this you should know that it doesn't support Bluetooth so if you use Bluetooth speakers for better sound quality you won't be able to use it on this tv without a special cord that's sold separate

Great picture but….

Tv is good but it intermittently loses internet connection and is actually hard wired and not wireless. Having to go into settings and reboot tv that's different from actually just turning tv on and off. Sleep timer is nice but it would be nice if you can set an auto off time like Samsung has.

We don't fully understand everything

We're real happy with the TV, but 2 things prevented us from giving it a 5, and it might not be the TV's fault. #1, occasionally when its turned on, it shows "no connection". When this happens, we turn it off and back on then it works. It can't be DirecTV because no TV connection changed except the TV one. #2 problem is the TV cannot get in sync with the soundbar, which is also a Vizio, and we had no problems with the sync from our old TV which was also a Vizio. The sync setting is at its closest possible.

Great tv excellent customer service

I recently had to replace my Vizio that I had over the years with a new Vizio tv. The price was good, the fit of the trim my home was great, the quality of the tv was also great. I had some questions regarding the tv and I contacted customer service twice with 2 different questions and both representatives gave me so much information, they were both excellent!

Not what I expect from Vizio

We purchased two Vizio smart TV's only to be greatly disappointed by the speed and ability of the TV's to run certain apps. This is our first experience with Internet-based TV only to find the shows our kids would like to watch will not even load. At first I believed it was a problem with the apps however upon further research the system seems to simply be inconsistent in loading various shows. This is not my first Vizio by any means... however it is surely my last.

Love it .

I got my V505-H19 about a week ago but have only watched it 4 days now and it's great so far . This is our 5th VIZIO , yes we like them. The only thing I haven't figured out is the volume won't match the cable remote when switch from one to the other.

Very good TV

Wish I could give a 4.5 out of 5 stars........this is a great TV and the wife and I really love Vizio products as we have owned several in the past 10-12 years. Currently, we own 4 TVs. But yes - I would give a 4.5 out of 5 for this current model as the sound output feature died on us after owning the TV for 3 months. We connect our TV to our stereo surround system, so using the TV speakers (which are fine) doesn't really work for us. Needless to say, we contacted Vizio support and they replaced the unit hassle-free within 2 weeks (would've been quicker but there were issues related to Covid-19) and we were back up and running within an hour of removing the new unit from the box. We really love Vizio products and only taking off 1/2 a point as we feel this was a lemon situation and will still continue to support and buy these products going forward. Great quality for the price!

I love how much I can do with this TV!

I love this TV! I gave up cable a while back, and I am now on antenna and broadcast. The tuner works great, and some of my local channels I cannot bring in have internet options that I can easily cast to the TV! That is my favorite feature so far. Plugging in my Roku and DVD were so simple, and it was easy to channel the TV's sound into my stereo receiver! Setup just took minutes. It was also so light, it was easy to mount it on the wall.
