Awesome picture

First, I have enjoyed all my Vizio purchases. Second, I would recommend this T.V to others that want to upgrade to a "smart" tv with apps to complete streaming needs. I was upset there wasn't an ESPN plus app but, have made adjustments. It's a bummer I can't add apps however I am very satisfied with this tv. The setup was easy and the weight of the tv is lighter than my 55 inch. Enjoy!

Great Quality

Was originally looking for a Samsung tv but saw the two side by side and the picture quality was just amazing and for a much better price. After a few weeks of having it I can honestly say I'm going to be a VIZIO customer for good! Planning on getting 2 more.

This Smart TV is

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my Vizio to replace my projection HDTV that had dying pixels. After a few minutes looking for studs in the wall, my TV was mounted on the wall and updating. The quick app remote buttons are still are relevant and my favorite feature is the content search where it looks on every possible app to find the show/movie you are looking for. The frame rate is awesome for gaming, too!!

65 inch V series

Had problems with the picture zooming in and some times scrambling the picture. Was getting great close ups of someone's forehead but couldn't really watch the shows. Tech support folks had me do a few things to remedy the problem, but none worked. They said they would work the issue and called several days and said they thought they had a fix. Unfortunately that call was received after I returned the TV to the retailer.

Loving it!

I've had it for about five months. Bought one for the house and one for my 40'X60' shop. My shop is over 200' from my house and I have no cable or Dish in the shop. I can still watch a gazillion channels on the aps on the TV. Hardly no buffering at all. It's amazing. Sound system sucks! You definitely need a sound bar. But that's the only problem I've found. I'm loving it! This is my third Vizio TV.

A great TV for the price!

Having owned exclusively Vizio televisions for the last 5 years, I had high expectations for this TV and it's met every single one of them. The picture, sound, and functionality are all great. Very satisfied with this purchase and if I had to do it all over again, I'd buy this TV again in a heartbeat

Good TV

I bought this TV a month ago along with a Vizio sound bar. I'm really enjoying the sound quality and ease of use. Only problem with this TV is it doesn't have Disney plus or DC universe apps or compatibility to Apple airstream either. This would be a great fix.

I wish I had better news...

I originally bought this TV during Black Friday. It was very impressive when it first turned on and did the demo of the picture quality etc. unfortunately there was also a blown pixel that took away some of the excitement. The OS was very glitchy and the TV never fully integrated with the VIZIO soundbar. After a couple of weeks, I contacted customer support and they were very helpful. Within a few minutes, they had placed an order for a new TV. Unfortunately, the new TV also has a blown pixel and still doesn't integrate with the soundbar (it's actually worse) so I will be contacting customer support again. I had high hopes - this is the first time I have purchased a brand new tv and I thought VIZIO would be a good choice.

Beautiful colors, dynamic range,and features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The V705x-H1 is my third TV with HDR, and the first that doesn't suffer from notable zones of backlighting, I'm guessing with due to the full backlighting array they list. Dark darks, bright brights, and no evidence of bleeding light, which makes gaming (especially menus where there're hard corners,) a bit better. On HDR this is the first TV I've owned where I felt it does HDR as advertised. I had a few moments of disbelief when playing games and ended up filming as it did not seem to be only a 60hz refresh rate. I'm pretty sure in the days leading up to Black Friday I've seen it listed as “120hz effective refresh rate.” This led me to researching effective vs actual, and I'm reading from this they're doing some wizardry to make it appear a higher refresh than it is. Overall, it looks great, you can game solidly on it, but if you're a twitch sniper this TV probably isn't quite your thing. As an older FPS gamer on PC/Xbox, this refresh rate does not affect me adversely. Games are also beautiful, until you attempt to photograph them with a cell phone and it just looks meh. Installation was done with me and my wife, who's got a frozen shoulder and still managed to heft up half the weight of the thing. I think in total it's about 50 pounds and we managed to get it up on the mount I had with no issues. While I think I could have potentially done it alone, meh, two people can easily do it. After initially powering up you've got a fairly long firmware update to sit through. I started it wired on a gigabit connection and it was a long few minutes wondering if it was coming back up. It did, no complaints there, but it did appear to be dead for a while. Just plan to wait for a bit. The OS is your standard Vizio SmartCast, and if you're familiar with that the only difference is it appears to be significantly faster than on older models after a few minutes of being installed. It was slow for about a minute after the initial update, but now it's great. I have a feeling it was doing work in the background while I was attempting to get right into playing with the new TV. I proceeded to set up Plex, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney+, and I swear I'm forgetting something, and got to watching. I did some comparison testing and went to the other couple of TVs and watched the same things again, and also on my phone to see what all differences I could discern. The answer to most streaming was not a whole lot other than sheer size, although I did determine I liked the HDR significantly more on this than on my older VIZIO which I believe had 30 or so lighting zones. I've spent a lot of time watching this over the past few days, and have determined that the only reality breaker that presents itself for an OCD observer is that the top of the screen appears ever so slightly a different shade when we're looking at non-moving gray. Totally unnoticeable on other colors or during movement, but the backlighting or edge lighting or something doesn't look perfect at the top when 1) gray, 2) viewed from lower angle. This had me standing on a couch watching 4K videos in an attempt to see whether the effect was visible dead on, which I think I determined it maybe is but you need more OCD than I have to notice it. So tilt the screen if you see it. You will want a sound system of some sort. The speakers are good, but not great. I don't claim to be an audiophile, but once you get a decent sound system you can't go back. If you haven't watched over the air broadcasts due to cable or streaming, I suggest you check out your local over the air stations with an antenna (you'll need to get an antenna.) The video quality will make you wonder why you're paying cable fees to watch a pixelated mess. Also useful for when your cable goes out. Overall, it's a good solid TV. There are plenty of videos on why it's a great gaming TV due to the processor, I'll let you check those out for yourself. It's crisp, sharp, dark and beautiful, and I have no complaints.
