Mega Roll
Mega Roll is my jam... I have two messy kids... I spill things... My wife spills things... My dog and cats knock things over... The answer? Mega Roll. Its added girth matches our chaotic lifestyle. I don't have time to search for multiple diminutive paper towel rolls. I don't have the organizational abilities to keep track of a paper towel holder. What do I need more of? I need... more... Mega Roll.
Sometimes Newer is Just Newer (…and Not Better)
Bounty was one of the few brands our household *never* compromised on, even during soaring inflation costs. It's also the brand I brought to my workplace—a public library—for the most delicate to messy cleaning tasks. While my commitment to the product—despite the price—has remained unwavering, the company appears to have fallen for gimmicks and inferior materials. The “web-like” texture is scratchy, stiff, and not as absorbent as its classic weave, and the sheets are thinner and do not hold up as they have in the past. This is the first time I have ever researched a standard “household supply” to post a review, and I do so to let other consumers know that, “Yes; something has changed about that terrific roll of Bounty you used to reach for,” and “No; you're not alone in your experience.” Procter & Gamble…do better. Fix this. Sometimes newer is just newer…and you've messed with a classic.
Your trust and faith in Bounty is truly humbling, and we're sad you believe we've let you down. Please know, the upgrades we've recently brought into our towels aren't meant to be what you've described, so we're a bit confused on what you're receiving, versus what we expect. Poor perforations = needless frustration
I bought so many rolls of Bounty only to find out they are now barely perforated. I have to have a pair of scissors by the roll so they can be cut because tearing no longer works. They are also much thinner. I hate to have to throw away 48 rolls of paper towel, but this is ridiculous. Bounty used to be a reliable brand, but not anymore. Hopefully others see this review before they make the same mistake I did.

The 'upgrade' is not
Like the many reviewers have noted, despite your claims of 'upgrade', your customers don't regard it as a success. Thinner, rougher, more linty and, despite your annoyingly repeated claim, they are, in MY household) NOT more absorbent, so it is really irrelevant what your results in your lab are telling you. And just want to note that at the top of this very website, you are featuring pictures if the OLD Bounty, with the diamond quilting. Looks very deceptive. Shame on you!

Why the change?
I have exclusively bought bounty paper towels for my adult life (except during the first 6 months of covid when anything went) and expected the same feel I kniw and love when I pulled a roll out of my new package. But the roll looks smaller and the towels feel awful! They are thin and papery and really mess with my sensory issues. Really upset. Why the change?

Don't take customer loyalty for granted
The new version of Bounty Towels is so different that I had to double check the packing to be sure I bought the Bounty brand that I have used for decades. The towels are stiff like cheap towels and are not absorbent. Shame on you, Bounty Towels. You have lost a loyal customer.

Post Covid Quality
I have been a Bounty lover for 2 decades. I stockpiled the product at the onset of the pandemic. I have slowly begun replenishing my supply and I am fortunate not to have purchased too many. The turn-in quality caught me by surprise. I used to wash my dishes and then clean my counters with the same Bounty sheet. I have noticed that the sheet has already begun disintegrating before I'm done washing 6 small items. I am switching to another brand to give them a chance. I'm saddened to go but with the cost increase and quality decrease, I can no longer afford wasteful spending :(

TRIPLE ROLL
I have always used Bounty Select A Size. Now, however, it seems we are getting fewer towels on a roll. I recently bought the one roll, TRIPLE SIZE, and it didn't last as long as the single rolls that I used to buy. I think it is a rip off and the rolls do not state how many paper towels are on the roll. I think we are getting ripped off.

Quality Change
I have been using Bounty for decades. We had Bounty in my house growing up too. It was the best on the market for absorbency, softness and holding together when wet. Sometime after Covid, there was a quality change. The towels are thinner, feel cheap and scratchy and tear in half when you try to rip them on the perforated line. If I didn't know better I'd think I was using a generic grocery store brand. I didn't accidentally buy the Essentials line either. Very disappointed in Bounty. I understand wanting to keep the product affordable during an inflationary economy, but don't sacrifice quality. I'd rather pay a little more for the same good quality. After all these years of being a loyal Bounty customer, I'm now on the hunt for a new paper towel brand.

Surprised and disappointed
I purchased several packs of this product recently and I'm shocked by the extremely poor quality. Bounty has been my preferred paper towel brand for the last 40 years for its absorbency and high quality. This latest version is comparable to the least absorbent generic brand. Not only am I totally surprised, but I'm also now disappointed that I bought in bulk.
