Even the connecting/ pairing it and setting it up with the app was super easy. I need to move some stuff to get the house mapped completely, but it does a very thorough job. I put it to vacuum, and it did a really good job. It even got the very tiny little pieces of paper and lint that were on the floor. This is definitely going to make my life easier, and save me some work. I definitely appreciate that. I would highly recommend to anyone who could use a helping hand. This is a great tool for the house. Love it.

As a busy professional and a pet owner, this has saved me countless hours. For example, after a long day, the last thing I wanted to do was vacuum up my dog's hair around the home but now the Shark handles it daily without me lifting a finger. Smart Technology The PowerDetect Technology is incredible. It adjusts suction power based on the level of dirt detected. I was watching this in action and noticed the Shark was able to identify and tackle some snack crumbs scattered on the floor without missing a spot. It feels like having a cleaning assistant that knows exactly where to focus. Mopping Functionality Switching between vacuuming and mopping is seamless. I was initially skeptical about robot mops, but this one won me over. One thing, I used this in the bedrooms where there are carpets for its vacuum and it worked fine but the small shaggy rug did get stuck so be careful what’s laying out. User-Friendly App Integration The app is intuitive and makes it easy to schedule cleanings or target specific areas. I do not recommend and am returning. I didn't even try the mopping feature since I was so dissatisfied with the vacuuming feature. It couldn't even do the basics, like finding the base, picking up debris in the middle of a room on laminate flooring and terrible on thin area rug. I tried everything possible to love this. I so wanted to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Base station: The hub for the robot is decently sized. Not overly large or oddly shaped. It has a bagless debris bin. The bagless debris bin is nice for households with pets. We have 1 dog and 5 cats. The debris canister can fill up quickly (more on that later). The debris canister also has a screw in place scent cartridge that helps with odors for the auto empty. This is probably necessary since the unit is bagless. The hub has 2 water canisters, one for dirty water and one for clean water. The clean water tank is good sized. The cleaning solution does get added directly to the clean water canister. Currently shark has only approved the specific vacmop solution that comes with it; they have a few other solutions but according to the shark rep they are not approved for it. The hub will “dry” the mop pad with air. This feature doesn’t always dry the pad so I’m not entirely impressed with it. The hub will also clean the mop pad and it does keep the pad clean. Robot Shark RV2820ZE: The robot is a typical round shape like most out there. It has one side brush. The side brush will not work on carpets/rugs. The brush roller has bristles and some sort of flaps (possibly a nylon like material). The brush roller does look basic but don’t let you fool you. This robot works extremely well on carpets, rugs, and hard floors. It excels at picking up dog/cat hair, cat litter(even in between grout/floor lines), and dust/hair bunnies. The robot does have a comb like structure inside that helps detangle hairs from the roller. I’ve only had a little bit of hair wrap; I’ve been surprised with its performance. Mopping: The mopping action is done with a large mop pad that goes side to side. It does not spin like most other robots. I would consider it less effective than the spinning ones. Having said that it does perform decently enough to maintain our floors. It won’t scrub dried on stains(unless the stain detect activates). The mop pad stays moist with its onboard water tank so it can mop a large area without having to refill. The mop pad is detachable so the robot can leave it at the hub for vacuuming only cleaning. Overall the mopping is slightly above satisfactory. Features/gimmicks: Like most brands shark does advertise a few features or gimmicks that make their robots special. Active lift will raise the drive wheels/chassis up when it is stuck or needs to cross a large threshold. This feature is extremely useful and actually works. I have a large threshold (1.5”) tall and it crosses it every time. It also helps getting over floor vents and cross room transitions after it has mopped (wheels will lose traction but the lifting up allows it to regain traction). Active lift will also prevent the mop pad from dragging across carpet/rugs. This appears to prevent the robot from vacuuming due to how high it lifts the chassis up. Edge detect: There is a sensor that detects the edges of the walls. This allows the unit to extend it mop pad over. This works sometimes with mopping but not all the time ( this could be due to my floors having quarter trim pieces and prevent it). However I do have much better success with vacuuming. When vacuuming it will blow a small puff of air to remove small debris/dust and hair bunnies for the edge and corners. I’ve noticed this feature work majority of the time when it clean the edges of the walls. Dirt detect/stain detect: When the robot vacuums and or mops the unit can detect if areas are extra dirty and concentrate on them. I may have seen it once with mopping but can’t confirm or verify. But when vacuuming the robot will light up purple( the light bar will adjust how much purple is shown based on how much dirt is detected). The unit will drive in a figure 8 pattern to vacuum that area. This does work and is verified in the shark app in the history tab. App: The shark clean app is lacking many options that other brand like Eufy, roborock, dreame, and narwal have. The app really does hold back their robots. It is also glitchy and sometimes it has issues. Overall I’m not impressed with the app. When mapping with the robot it will do its initial run to create a map. After the map is made and you setup rooms and no go zones. Once you’ve done that it will want to “remap” to detect your carpets and rugs. This is extremely important due to the active lift preventing the vacuum from working when the robot is lifted up on carpets/rugs.

I like that it connects to WiFi and learns your home to clean across surface areas. The app is user friendly as well. The battery life is great and can last a while before needing to be charged. The overall maintenance is easy and a great addition to the home especially if you have a busy schedule away from home.

I am 6 months pregnant and I can’t stress how much of a relief it is to have this little robot cleaning up around me. Super super convenient and it really does get the entire area. It cleans my entire area without running out of battery and it’s very quiet compared to other robots I’ve used in the past. It’s very easy to use and the mop feature makes it that much better. Definitely my best friend during my pregnancy right now.

I have an average sized house but the battery seems to last fine to make it through the whole house. I love the use of the app so I can control it away from home, have it set to clean before I get home!! Definitely recommend!

This is my first robot vacuum that mops and self empties. It’s very nice to be able to pick a room to vacuum and mop and it’s done in 20 minutes while my wife and I go on a walk. We also really appreciate the neat vacuum lines it leaves in the carpet. Our home just feels much cleaner with the ability to send the robot on a mission from anywhere and anytime.

The Shark PowerDetect 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum and Mop with NeverTouch Base is a robot vacuum and mop that uses five cleaning technologies to target hidden debris, stuck-on stains, and edges. After every cleaning run, the robot will return to the NeverTouch Pro base to empty debris, refill the water tank, and dry the mopping pad so it's always ready for its next clean. The water capacity is perfect and everything is cordless. I use 13 oz of the shark cleaning solution and fill the tank up with water. The you add this super cool odor absorber on the top. It helps keep your house fresh. The tank empties and refills itself. It’s extremely easy to install, it only took me 10 minutes. Make sure you place this robot on a flat surface. It works better this way and keeps the water stable. I recommend cleaning the bottom brushes once a month just to make sure there isn’t any hair or something else stuck in the main brush roller. He comes with an extra brush and the instructions are very easy to follow. This Shark robot has made my life so much easier. It’s so quiet, convenient and fun, we replaced him with an old cleaning machine I had and it’s been wonderful. The battery life last the entire cleaning process in a 5,000 sq home! The amount of debris this Shark picks up compared to my old one is outstanding! I’m so happy that there is an app and it only takes a minute to set your robot up to your WiFi. Then you simply start letting your robot map your house. After that it will start cleaning and each time it cleans, it gets smarter and faster. I showed my older brother this Shark and now he is going to buy it for his house. I highly recommend this robot. It’s been life changing!

I was very apprehensive about purchasing a robot for floor cleaning. I almost flipped over backward at a neighbors house when the robot was behind me. Problem solved since you can schedule it in the evening when we are usually relaxing on the couch. We recently installed LVP flooring throughout our downstairs and decided to try a robot instead of always using a broom and microfiber mop for wet cleaning. We have a two level first floor so we had the robot map the living room. We move the docking station into another room to get the rest of the first floor and push the manual buttons. I thought I was going to have to remap the whole floor but this worked. Amazing enough, it finds its way through five other cleaning areas and goes back to the docking station. One thing I will mention is that it will grab cords lying on the floor. It grabbed the Christmas tree lights. Remember to remove small cords from laying on the floor and probably things with long shoe laces. So far “Clean Latifah” is doing her job great for the first week.
