Better than the Aeropex

I loved my Aeropex, but felt like in loud environments whatever I was listening to really got drowned out. With the new openrun pros I feel like I still get the feedback from the sounds around me but they aren't overpowering the music anymore. Battery life is also better and aside from being louder the sound quality is also a lot crisper. Great product all around!

Superior option to in-ear buds

I use my shook primarily for talking on the phone. Iv’ve received excellent feedback on the mic’s audio quality. The audial quality as the listener is very goos. I love being able to hear what’s going on around me in conjunction with music or a conversation.

Downgrade from aeropex

I feel pretty dissapointed when I got the aeropex it was an amazing unboxing experience it came in a magnetic box, had earplugs included, they were more waterproof, they sit comfortably and snug ,they had 5 eq setting to choose from (this one has 2) I expected the same experience but better so was dissapointed this felt like a downgrade for the same price and really hate the way these sit on my head vs when they had aeropex not sure what happened after they rebranded the company into "shokz" but the next model better feel like an upgrade they don't sound as good the only plus I can think of is the battery life...

Bone conduction is awesome.

On a walk, I can jam and hear the birds sing ( or a car approaching behind me). In the car, I can answer the phone hands free. The bass is much improved over my previous Aftershotz. I forget sometimes that I have then on. It's wonderful to add earplugs when I mow the lawn and have great music.

Great headset. They start to

Great headset. They start to distort after a few hours of the high volume. I like my music louder so I guess they weren’t designed for the max volume all of the time. Great to wear while running and cycling. Can’t even tell that they are on my head after a fem minutes of wearing them.

No USB-C

I've bought every model of Aftershokz/Shokz headphone that has come out in the last 5 years. The headphones are generally great, but the most massive day-to-day usability issue is that these have a proprietary magnetic connector instead of just using USB-C, and to add insult to injury, the other end of the proprietary connector is still USB-A. This isn't 2016 any more, no one wants to have a dedicated charger for one special device. An easy solution here would be to let this charge over USB-C and include a magnetic adapter that people can choose to use or lose, and as backup they can still use the universal charging standard. Or figure out how to squeeze wireless charging coils in somehow. This is just a bad solution.

Decreased quality

I'm a multiple-version Shokz owner. Love the brand and the earphones. I have a new pair of Open Run Pros. All of the features and performance seem to be there for this version, but there are two spots where this model seems to lack the performance of past models. The two-mode EQ does not make the same difference when worn in airplanes or used in noisy environments. Older models of Shokz had 3-mode EQ to assist in delivering the bone-conducting sound. Second, the overall volume in this most recent version appears to be less capable. Recommend back to 3 or more EQ modes and increased volume. All that to be said, best open-ear product on the market.

OpenRunPro

I have now had 2 pair of the Pro headphones, and still am having issues with disconnecting from my Apple IPhone 14. The second set is a bit better but not much. I have reset multiple times. Shokz was great and replaced the first one and can't find any other reported issues regarding disconnections. I love the bone conduction idea but wish we could get this fixed so I can actually use them all of the time!

This is my first set

This is my first set of bone conduction ear phones. Overall I’m impressed with the sound and quality of the product. Work well while exercising and allow me to hear the surroundings. Would be a five star review but the price is steep and the charger is proprietary.
