I like the variety of setting options, pretty intuitive as it shows how long each option will run, how high the heat will be, etc with the LED lights on the panel. Much wider range of options than previous dryers I've dealt with.

I like the way the dial and buttons are setup, simplistic and easy to read. The built in setting are good, all of them can be customized if needed to suit one's specific needs. I personally use the normal setting for general washing and for a deeper cleaning I use the heavy duty cycle. The light is subtle yet bright enough to illuminate what's inside. Cleaning out the filter is a breeze, take it out, pop it open, clean, close, put back in, done. Samsung has really gotten good with the appliances and I can only wait for the next time I have to upgrade, which won't be for a while as these will last a good long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this dryer for the last month in conjunction with a new Samsung washer. It is far superior to the old dryer my family of 4 used. With two pre teen children and two new puppies we use the dryer every single day. It does an excellent job of drying large loads of towels and bedsheets. I really like the way it can measure humidity inside the drum and adjust drying time. The Smart Things app is really helpful as well. The interface is intuitive and my children have no trouble using it as well. The lint trap captures 3 to 5 times more lint then my old dryer. It is quiet and reliable. It does not seem to have a high heat option to rapidly dry small loads, but that is minor compared to all the positives. I am very happy with this dryer.

Install was easy enough, but the size was deeper than expected. I should have measured but thought it would be relatively similar to my Neptune. In terms of performance, it takes a bit longer than I would want to dry large loads. It isn't significantly slower than my previous so we are okay. Just wanted to inform that it may be good to limit load size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung's Large Capacity Ventless Hybrid Heat Pump Electric Dryer with Wi-Fi (DV45DG6000HWA2) is a welcome addition to an aging laundry room. This dryer was made with large families and exhausted parents in clear focus! I love that I can just throw the clothes from the washer in, and trust it to have the right settings to dry without much more than hitting "start". If we had an upstairs closet, the ventless option here would warrant serious consideration for us bringing it there, so the family could easily pull items as needed. Since there is no vent, the water tank becomes the only hassle - but its not much of one - it requires a bit of care if you don't have an adjacent bathroom or laundry sink, since it is about 2.5' long. As others have said, it would have been a great option to have a setting to push the water out an optional hose (since it likely shares a room with your washer & the drain is most likely there already! My other suggestion is a better lint trap - this does a good job of collecting lint; however, the booklet design of nested filters makes cleaning it out a hassle vs older dryers where you could merely roll up the accumulated lint from the single-sheet mesh screen without ever leaving the dryer For each of these i'd deduct one star; however for the ease and benefit of the mobile application, energy monitoring/savings, and sensor drying, it grabs some back. I'm giving this 4.5/5 stars - only because it's such an obvious benefit that could have been realized to flush the tank automatically, does it not quite gain back the last half star. Otherwise, I'm happy with this upgrade to the look, feel, and intelligence of the laundry room!

It runs quietly and now that I've had time to learn, everything comes out dry. Plus I have learned to enjoy it “singing” to me when it finishes the cycle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a household who does a LOT of laundry, we were looking to get something that was a little more cost effective and safe in our home. We have a very long vent for our current dryer and it was a real pain to keep clean. Usually we would have to clean it 2-3 times a year. With this new dryer, we will never have to do that again! Setup was a breeze, we had no problem getting it up and running and connected to the Samsung Smart Things app. Its awesome to get notifications when a cycle is done cause we are all very busy and sometimes forget that we had put a load of laundry in. The operation was pretty much the same as any dryer. There are different cycles for towels and bedding and a normal setting and things like that. I found that it performed just as good as a regular dryer in terms of the time it takes to dry things. I would say except for towels it dried just as fast or faster than a regular dryer. Towels did take a little bit longer. There is a little more maintenance as far as emptying the water tank and cleaning the lint trap and heat pump vent but that takes a very short amount of time and you don't have to do it very often. Its definitely much easier than trying to clean out a 30 foot vent pipe! Overall, we are very happy with our new dryer and highly recommend it!

It does not have a vent and uses heat pump technology to gently dry your clothes without over drying using a 360 air flow. This technology will save me up to 50 percent energy. I use the Smart things app for all my kitchen appliances and adding my new dryer is perfect for making my home a smart home. The smart things app will let you know when your clothes are dry. I can also start, stop or delay the cycle, all from my phone. I love the “filter notification” on the panel and that the filter is a double filter and decreases dust. I appreciate that the door is reversible since my home installation was built backwards with the dryer first and then the washer. No more jockeying clothes around doors and dropping them on the floor. Plus, I can see my clothes with the lighted drum. In addition , since by dryer does not have a vent, I look forward to having less dust in my home and not needing to check the vent for clogs. I'm very pleased with my new dryer.
