Good grass seed and this is my 2nd bag...just a heads up it's 1lb per 1000sqft for an established bermuda yard and 3lb per 1k sqft if you are starting new...you must aerate yard extensively before you seed and only use a hand spreader NOT a push speader!...seed is too small for bigger speader...water in good and don't let seed dry out...good southern bermuda seed tho!

spread at more than 5x suggested rate on "round up" spots, then covered with a small amount of soil (Expert Gardener Garden Soil) and the spots are gone and filled with Bermuda 1 month later.

However, this same bag was also carried by tractor supply with a price tag of ****. I mush prefer the same product for 79.00

This stuff grows like a weed! I mean that in a good way. Make sure the night time temperature is above 75 degrees before planting it or it will take forever to germinate. But once it does just keep it wet and it will spread like wildfire!

I wanted to try and spend the extra money and plant a good Bermuda lawn. seed germination was very spotty after consistent watering not to impressed lots of money for not much results.

I spread this all over my yard and within 2 weeks I have some type of clover growing everywhere I speed the seeds. I know it's the Pennington seeds because it's even growing in bare spots. Where there was nothing before. Now my yard is worse off than before.

Grass did not germinate and grow, even though we raked soil, watered daily, and used straw to help with moisture. We are going to have to start all over with different seed, if we want grass to grow. Super disappointed!

I have planted Bermuda grass for years and never had any issues with Pennington seed- usually germinated in 7-10 days. This bag was absolutely horrible- planted twice within a couple months and got nearly zero to germinate - never in 30 years of grass growing have I had such a bad experience with grass seed. $62 of seed and lots of water for nothing.

None of the seeds germinated. Tried different areas with fertilizer, potting soil, watering. This is Hawaii where most everything grows. Fairly certain I got a dead bag.
