Nice for the Price

In use for a week now and so far we are pleased with this purchase. We do have to separate the clear cubes as they fall in a sheet instead of individual cubes as a ice cube tray would render. The design of the water drainage could be relocated to front of the ice maker instead of the rear.

I'm so disappointed!

Makes ice very quickly, however it is noisy. Also it makes the ice in a large block...almost like a Hershey bar size and all the cubes are connected and wet, nor separate. It makes lots of ice but I am disappointed in the overall quality of the finished ice product as you literally have to break the cubes off of the chunk that the machine produces. Machine is good looking and the reservoir holds a large quantity of water so it doesn't have to be constantly refilled. That reservoir is probably it's best feature! The icemaker is okay but I would not recommend it.

Frigidaire 40 lb Icemaker

The drain plug in the back leaked. At first it was a slow drip and then, about 3 hours in, I had water EVERYWHERE. The ice was great. It took the expected time to go through the cycle. It was extremely aggravating emptying out the left over water in the machine so I could repackage it and return it. If the drain hadnt been a problem, I would have been happy, other than emptying it when we use it for camping.

Best kitchen counter ice maker!

Purchased to supplement fridge Ice maker while on vacation with big family in hot zone. This ice maker exceeded every expectation as we quickly had two full buckets of ice all day long. Manufacturer info indicates it will make 40 pounds of ice over 24 hours. I can confirm.

MAKES ALOT OF ICE

At first I did not like this ice maker. But in a couple days it started to produce more and more ice. I like the square cube. the only thing that I think it needs, is a larger ice basket. The bucket fills up and its hard to get all the ice out without it going back into the water. So I just take the ice off the top before I empty it.

Makes a lot of ice quickly.

Seems to work well. It makes a lot of ice quickly and that is our %231 necessity for our household. The water capacity could be a bit larger. It seems to hold less than what is stated. Could be more stylish for the price. I purchased the 3 year warranty just in case. Overall, I would recommend.

Best ice maker yet.

Have owned many ice makers over the years. This is the best one yet. Quiet, efficient, doesn't use much energy, and makes quality ice. Needed one for making ice continuously because of a knee replacement operation. Found out this one made enough ice for that as well as all of my other ice needs. Got rid of my freezer ice maker and now have more room in my freezer.

Received my new ice machine on June 30, 2025. It seemed great and worked great at first, but by july 20th, 2025 it simply quit. Had a light blinking on it that the manual thay came with it said was a ''bad solenoid''. I initiated a return to walmart and after seeing other reviews for this machine breaking soon after purchase, I elected to just get a refund. $200 is a high price for anything that's only going to work for less than 6 months, not to mention the inconvenience of a brand new item you just bought breaking.

Nice countertop ice maker.

I normally wouldn't review a product that has not been in use for such a short period of time. The ice maker has only made 1 round of ice. So far I am impressed with the results. I think that after I'm able to dial it in for size, it will be a very purposeful piece of equipment. The rather low rating is because I really haven't had much chance to put the unit through it's paces. I like it better than the other one I have, it makes the cloudy ice. Ice is very clear and hard cubes with this machine. I think it will be okay.

Works well to fill up the freezer

Works as advertised, but note that countertop units (all brands/models) are not a "set it and forget it" machine. If you want an ice maker that has on demand ice sitting in it ready for you 24/7 (i.e. equivalent of a freezer ice machine), these units are not a great option because they a) require constant attention (filling water, emptying ice bin) and b) are not cold/insulated enough in the bin to keep the ice from melting throughout the day. The unit does work perfectly though to fill up an existing freezer, or to supplement an existing automatic ice maker, or during parties/high demand periods whereby the ice will be used before it melts in the bin (note it takes hours to melt, so the ice remains perfectly usable as long as you either use it, or empty the bin in a reasonable time). The machine makes clear, square(ish) ice the size of a quarter (see pics). It does not make perfect, evenly sides squares, it makes parallelograms with a dimple on 1 side (dimple visible in pics). The timer(cube size) button does not change the cube dimensions, it simply determines how full or empty that dimple is when the ice ejects by shortening or lengthening how long the water runs over / fills in the grid. The machine is not noisy, but you can hear the fan in a quiet room. If a TV is on, you won't notice the machine at all (except when the ice ejects into the bin). Some reviews note a problem with the ice sticking and not ejecting into the bin. I've yet to encounter this issue. My guess is they did not level their unit. it is important to make sure the unit is level during use as the design uses gravity to fill the cubes AND to eject. If the unit is not level, the water will not fill the grid evenly, some cubes will be thicker than others, or worse, if the unit is tilted backwards, the angle won't be enough for the ice to fall out during thaw/eject cycle. Simply make sure you put it on a level surface and that the water is running over each column of cubes evenly and you won't have stuck ice. I prefer the -6 (fastest) setting as the ice is easy to break up and is more chewable, have had zero issues with the unit so far, and would recommend for persons who a) have no (or a broken) freezer ice maker, need to supplement an existing freezer unit, or have frequent need of on demand ice during parties/events.
