This is a great ice maker. Yes, it is a little noisy…but it’s making ice. Love that it makes cube ice like Starbucks uses for their ice drinks. The ice does fall into ice bucket, but doesn’t break up, so you have to do that. I wish the ice tray was metal instead of plastic to avoid possible breaking when using provided scoop. Will look at instruction manual to see if you can adjust thickness. Overall, I am very happy with this unit and would recommend.

So far, so great!. This thing has been turning out the ice. The ice drops into the bin which is not a freezer compartment. BUT, the melting is kept to a minimum because it is the same compartment that makes the ice so the compartment is cold. And has been mentioned, any water from the melted ice is reused to make more ice. Noise is not an issue and yes, there is noise when the ice drops into the bin. but it is not very loud. I don't know if it will make 40 pounds a day, but it makes a lot, the ice is cube shaped and mostly clear. This thing is without a doubt a keeper. I have only had it two weeks so the only question is longevity.

Works great very quiet except when the ice falls into the tray . We have had this over a month use it every couple of days to make ice. We put the ice in the freezer for my husbands thermos for work. I use the ice for my cold drinks during the day its great!

The ice maker stopped making ice after 2 weeks of use. I had already thrown the box away because I would have returned it for another one. This one could have been just defective. Other than that I love the ice maker when it did work. It made the perfect size clear ice.

The drain plug in the back leaked. At first it was a slow drip and then, about 3 hours in, I had water EVERYWHERE. The ice was great. It took the expected time to go through the cycle. It was extremely aggravating emptying out the left over water in the machine so I could repackage it and return it. If the drain hadnt been a problem, I would have been happy, other than emptying it when we use it for camping.

The ice maker in my frig doesn't work and had used a smaller one of another brand. Frigidaire is a good brand and this ice market was a larger style than the other. It is simple to use, fairly easy to clean, and makes lots of ice. It has done a super job this summer with the 100 degree days we have had. Very pleased with this purchase!

I normally wouldn't review a product that has not been in use for such a short period of time. The ice maker has only made 1 round of ice. So far I am impressed with the results. I think that after I'm able to dial it in for size, it will be a very purposeful piece of equipment. The rather low rating is because I really haven't had much chance to put the unit through it's paces. I like it better than the other one I have, it makes the cloudy ice. Ice is very clear and hard cubes with this machine. I think it will be okay.

I’ve had bullet ice makers and sonic ice makers; this is better than bullets and pretty comparable to sonic. It’s nice! Love the clean cubes, makes ice fast, I set mine on the large cubes, they do not melt fast like the bullets. Look like glass. Easy to fill up with water. I use a magnetic thing, like the small magnetic pencil or sticky note holder that you see in school lockers or on refrigerators- it holds my scoop on the side!! I use either distilled or the spring water that my area has that flies free for all, I’ve used tap water too. All works great. Haven’t cleaned the machine yet, so unknown. My old sonic ice maker was a booger bear to clean. Ice does come off in sheets, but break really easy with my scoop. Very pleased so far!

Works great. As others have noted, it does make large blocks that you have to break apart. You will want to learn how to properly clean the unit. Run some bleach through the unit once a year. And run some CLR through it a separate time. I always let my whole unit drain and air dry between every use to prevent mold. But otherwise great machine. Does what it is supposed to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Makes ice quickly. Top water lid is cheap and flimsy and not designed to stay on. Ice cubes are on the small size. Very quiet. Somewhat heavy. Instructions are poorly written and surprised at the amount of spelling errors. Not expected from a name brand like this. Box was heavily damaged that it came in although the unit appears to be okay.
