The idea of having another appliance living in the city is brutal, however I was pleasantly surprised at how compact the Frigidaire 40lbs Compact Clear Square Ice Marker-Stainless Steel was. Counter space and storage come at a premium in a city, but so is refrigerator and freezer space. I do not have a built in ice maker in my fridge and I also do not have a lot of space in my freezer for ice trays. Walking to the store and carrying home 5 lb bags of ice is also not ideal. This is a great alternative to all the above. The set up was quick and straight forward. Filling the ice maker with water was super easy and the electronic LED controls were simple to operate. I was impressed at how quickly the first tray of ice was formed - it was less than 15 minutes. It was also entertaining to watch. Almost like magic. The basket held a lot of ice. The quality of the ice was great as well. The ice cubes were very clear in color and square in shape. On top of all the great features, the machine was very quiet while it was running. The stainless steel body of the machine also matches great with my kitchen decor. I would highly recommend the Frigidaire, 40lb Compact Clear Square Ice Maker in Stainless Steel for anyone who is limited in space, owns a fridge lacking an ice maker, likes to host and not have to carry 40 lbs of ice home and likes clear, square quality ice cubes.

This is not a good product. It make ice but the cubes are in big blocks that do not break up easily. Also there is something wrong with the engineering so the water sits at the bottom and the cubes end up sitting in the ice. It produces I faster unless you are comfortable with larger blocks of ice for your purpose (does not fit in a drinking glass or water bottle, has to be broker) this is not the right product. We bought it because it was higher capacity but just isn't what we needed.

Wow! What a product. Unfortunately, the fridge in my apartment does not have an ice maker. Consistently filling up and emptying out ice trays has become tiresome and inefficient. This product from Frigidaire has been the perfect solution. Never again will I have a warm or even room temperature glass of water! If you are looking to ice up your life, go for this product.

The ice that this makes is great and it produces it quickly. Unfortunately it only lasted 1 year, it quit pumping water and despite trying all troubleshooting recommendations I still could not get it to pump again. I liked the ice so will that I bought another one to replace it. I just hope it last s little longer.

After 7 months the machine wouldn't drop ice so it continues to form into a huge solid chunk. I loved this machine sooo much... I did buy the warranty but walmart says it should still be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Good luck finding a number to contact them. It makes plenty of ice 😅😅 ( no pun intended) but trying to get in touch with someone is almost non-existent

My father's birthday rolled around and as usual, I was struggling with gifts. Then this item popped up on Walmart and I knew it was an easy win. As someone who refuses to use ice-machine ice (store bought, only), I was nervous that he'd hate this ice too. But this is some industrial quality ice - perfect, clear cubes. He can't get enough of the visuals OR the melt-rate. He's a real ice stickler, but this is his new favorite toy. No brainer. I am writing this review as part of a contest.

I purchased this ice maker because we entertain a lot in our house and I don't like to have to buy ice bags every time. I have it installed in my laundry room so I don't hear the noise, which is not too bad, but it is not silent!. So far its been making ice every weekend for about a month and we like the small clear square ice that it makes. It takes a while to fill the small basket and you need to pay attention when it is full otherwise the ice will start melting, it doesn't keep the ice well there. But for the price we enjoy having it.

initially had a positive experience with the ice machine, which worked efficiently for a short period of time. However, it has now developed a bothersome loud noise, possibly coming from the motor, during the ice-making process. This unexpected issue has left me feeling quite disappointed with my purchase.

Mine is quiet, makes enough ice for a family of five and we leave it on all day! When the ice melts it makes more ice! I like the clear cubes and my water and soda, teas taste better! I have it by my sink right by my water filter so my cubes are filtered and pure so to me the only unanswered question is if it will last? I have had it for two weeks and it is really easy to use! I am hoping it lasts and if it does its the best thing I would have bought this year!
