This is not a good product. It make ice but the cubes are in big blocks that do not break up easily. Also there is something wrong with the engineering so the water sits at the bottom and the cubes end up sitting in the ice. It produces I faster unless you are comfortable with larger blocks of ice for your purpose (does not fit in a drinking glass or water bottle, has to be broker) this is not the right product. We bought it because it was higher capacity but just isn't what we needed.

This Ice Maker is amazing. I have struggled with a freezer that has not made ice for months and this has been a blessing from above. It produces restaurant quality ice from this compact clear square ice-maker. I love my Frigidaire so much that I stay hydrated all day so I can go home to have the best tasting ice at home after a long day. This stainless steal design is sheek and fits into the atmosphere of my trendy apartment. This ice maker simply makes my parties a chill event. This entry is a part of a review contest.

This ice maker is out of this world. Honestly, I may throw out my freezer. All I need is ice! With its sleek, stainless steel, silver finish, I am proud to invite guests into my home. Don't even get me started on the ice quality...other compact ice makers can't compare. The Frigidaire Compact Clear Square Icemaker truly delivers on the clear ice promise. I have had other countertop ice makers and this one is far superior to any others. It is fast and the ice is nearly clear. Only drawback, which doesn't bother us, is that it drops a sheet of cubes and they need to be broken up. Not a big deal as they break easily when put in ice bucket or plastic bag. Walmart has a very fair price for this unit, and no shipping charge. Buy it!

Yes, it makes a lot of ice. Yes, the ice comes out in blocks that can be difficult to break up. Yes, the clear ice is much better than the cloudy bullet-shaped ice from most other countertop machines. Yes, sometimes it freezes up if the shutoff switch gets blocked. Yes, it's a good idea to remove the ice and transfer to the freezer. I don't recommend leaving it on longer than it takes to fill up the basket.

I paid cash for this icemaker. it replaced an old cheaper ice maker that made 26 lbs of cloudy cubes per day.. this machine is far superior. it has a compressor that makes clear cubes with no air in them to cloud the cubes. cubes last 5x longer. you can use clean tap water but im rich so I use bottled water at .69 per gal. keeps the machine cleaner. when you get it let it sit for a few hours so the compressor fluids can level out in the unit. I set miy unit for big cubes(6) harvest cubes and but them in the freezer. in a plastic grocery bag. I slam the bag in mt stainless steel sink to break up any cubes that stick together. makes drinks that are restaurant quality.. cubes last 5x longer and don't water down drinks. if you use soda like coke or 7up it wont take the fizz out of the soda. follow directions for draining unit wnen not in use. this is a great product at a reasonable price.

Does what it says. you truly get crystal clear square cubes. However if you don't empty it they melt pretty fast, and the water on the bottom doesn't circulate for some reason, just stays there and you must take it out and clean it, which is a nuisance. other than this it's awesome and exactly what I needed since I'm a true ice snob. Also the other reviews are wierd. what's up with that.

This Frigidaire stainless steel ice maker gets the job done. My fridge at home is very old (i mean very old) and the ice making section is barely functioning at all. I like how quick and simple it is to make the ice when I need it. It is also perfect for BBQ parties when you need to have ice for a large group of people. I am writing this review as a part of a contest.

Quiet machine. Efficient with power. Nice ice cubes. They are clear. small, hard cubes. You do have to break apart the cubes (its like coming out of an ice tray), but this isn't hard to do. The cubes will slowly melt if you leave them in too long or don't use them but the water is recycled back into ice. It stops making ice once the basket is full and wont make more till open the door and take some out. It's a nice looking machine too!

i enjoyed it but it didn’t last long. i bought this about a year and a half ago. it puts out plenty of ice and i like the features such as how much it will freeze ice cubes before dumping them. So, if you want very thin or very thick its easy to do. The problem is that the compressor is still working but water is not circulating. i think the pump is shot. I would suggest cleaning it each month if you have hard water like we do here. I'm sure the calcium deposits didn't help. The icemaker was one of my favorite appliances so ill probably get another but not this one.
