Sadly it was better but not good enough for the price this would cost compared to the current brand I use. Durability wise it was better it lived up to the ultra strong phrase.

Why is it that companies think consumers won't notice changes in their products? So you make the roll more narrow to save money but in the end you lose a customer . I t doesn't work with my dispenser. Did anyone ever give that any consideration BEFORE you changed your product??? Last time I will buy your product after 35 years of loyalty.

It is soft enough not irritate one's bottom without tearing and leaving a mess. It really serves its purpose. Great work Charmin, I will never use another brand ever. Especially one of those cheap, thin, and rough store brands. This is one product I will not skimp on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We normally buy the Scott Extra Soft brand of toilet brand. It's worked well for us, but isn't the best we've had. Now that we've tried Charmin Ultra Strong, we need to seriously re-consider our main brand! The Ultra Strong is just that - very strong, and does not fall apart at all, whereas we've had that issue with our current brand. The size of the roll is a little less than what we're used to, but I'm sure we can find some kind of Mega or Triple out there of the same product. Overall, very highly recommended!

I have purchased the ultra strong mega rolls for many years. I am so disappointed in the quantity and quality of the rolls now. Definitely not what they used to be. The rolls are much smaller, I don't know why you call it a "mega" roll anymore, and it certainly isn't ultra strong anymore. My most recent purchase was the 18 roll mega/ultra strong and I think you need to change your description of this product. In my opinion it is no longer "woven like a washcloth" and you can no longer use less because it shreds apart. I thought maybe I got a mislabeled package. Even the size of the squares are smaller. Instead of trying to deceive us with all of your different sizes of packaging why don't you just stick to one size and if you are going to call it ultra strong make sure that is what you are giving us.
It looks like I am going to have to start looking for a different brand that lives up to its name.

It could stand to be a little softer. I am not sure how you pull off durable and soft without creating a giant roll of really thick and fluffy TP, but that is really my only critique. You can use less of this and accomplish the same as with a lot more of other brands.

Other than that, not much thought or care is given to this most valuable asset. I was one of these men until I received my 4 roll pack of Charmin Ultra Strong toilet paper. This stuff truly is "Man tough". It doesn't shred or fall apart like the cheap stuff the wife buys when it's on sale. Truly impressive. You'll use less of it because you don't have to double up in an attempt to protect your hand from thin, flimsy paper. As to how it absorbs, I have no idea, I don't use TP to absorb stuff. Charmin Ultra Strong is absolutely a new kind of toilet paper. I highly recommend it to anyone who uses toilet paper. It will leave you feeling cleaner and, after a couple of uses, you will feel more confident than ever that your paper will stay in tact and do it's duty.

Yes, there are cheaper brands of TP out there (not by much though), and I've made the mistake of "thinking" they are comparable. However, trust me, you will end up saving more money in the long run if you go with Charmin. More paper per roll, lasts longer, is thick and strong. Charmin Ultra Strong gets the job done!

The last impression I have of this brand is one left by my mother who disliked Charmin. She always said it was not strong. Having tried Charmin Ultra strong myself, I was definitely impressed. This toilet paper was not even close to my mother's assessment. It was strong, durable and soft. I liked the quilted fibers as well which the brand I normally buy does not have. I will definitely include Charmin in my toilet paper shopping going forward.
