Despite the disappointment of the old model, I didn’t hesitate to purchase another Samsung because as a family of 5 it was well-used over the 8 years we owned it. The new model runs quietly and is sleek. If a washing machine can be beautiful, it is! I took off one star because, as with the older models, the cycle complete tone is just a bit too much. When guests hear it for the first time they always laugh (as we did the first time 8 years ago!) but it gets old! Way too long! Wish there was a way to shorten it or have options for the notification but silence is the only other option as far as I know.

Chose these products mainly for the quality, but also for the capacity ( especially for comforters). There are new technologies that have been incorporated, and are still in the “Discover and Master” stage. The functionality is just perfect for our needs. The steam option we rarely use, but is good to have. Overall, the performance is above expectation.
