[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never owned a FoodSaver, but it was easy to get started storing my leftover food. Making custom bag sizes from the roll and learning to vacuum and seal them was easy. However, there were a lot of individual bags that also came with the package. of those, I am not sure when it's better to use those versus make my own. Expect that will come with more use.

I sent my 2100 model to another location and replaced it with this one. So far I'm not impressed with the vacuum and seal. It's awkward at best. And sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't - vacuum. It is particularly sensitive to having the open end positioned perfectly. Anything less results in less than expected vacuum seal. Maybe it just takes practice. I'd had the 2100 unit for 5 years without issue from day one.

Bought this a month ago and love it. Just started dehydrating our orchard produce and vacuum sealing the fruit after it is dried allows us to preserve it effectively and safely and easily send it to friends and family as gifts. Canning is much more difficult, hot, and expensive and it doesn't make gift giving very easy. This dehydrator is easy to use and works as advertised. Highly recommended.

This new machine replaces an older model, we grow a lot of fresh herbs and spices. As we pick and dry, we package using the food saver. Since the first freeze was last weekend, we now have about 10 pounds of fresh green tomatoes. Which will be fresh green fried tomatoes, over the winter. I buy bulk beef, package it and have great meals all winter and summer. As produce comes in season, we bulk buy and process everything. A fresh ear of corn on a snowy day, makes you think its 4 of July. Best money anyone can ever spend, buying a foodsaver.

I have owned other food saver models and loved them, but this is the best one so far. The bags are easier and faster to make as advertised. For me it is easier to get the bag in the right place to seal it because of the see thru window. I'm glad I decided to get it. I took advantage of the payment plan which was great for me also! We are empty nesters so it is perfect to cook and save extra for a later time. It is also great for someone on a diet to make meals ahead! Love it!!!

I bought this mainly for meat and freezing my garden vegetable. I can't wait to use it this fall. I resealed the jalapenos and habenaro I had already frozen. It did is proving to me my frozen foods are going to last so much longer. Very impressed with how easy it is to use.

this product reflects improvement to foodsaver equipment. my earlier foodsaver vacuum systems had earlier and lessor solutions to the food preservation process. this one has previous limitations addressed i.e. better bag material handling and, most significant for me, the machine seals without a need for operator to apply any pressure at all.

I've had this about a month and absolutely love it! I've frozen meats with garlic and onions and am looking forward to freezing meals for future consumption. I also got the large mouth jar sealer and love that as well. No more flour or baking goods going bad on me. As soon as I get the time I will be making up mixes for blueberry and apple muffins as well as pancakes. The only problem I've had is with the accessory cord. The rewind function no longer works so it's not neatly put away. Otherwise this is a six out of five!

I bought this about 5 weeks ago & I and my son love it!!! I have had 2 Food Savers before, which I bought through the website. Neither can compare to this Preservation System. The little perks make it a complete joy to use when buying in bulk or cooking up large meals & putting them in the freezer. All I can add is WOW!!

We got this, a coffee machine, and a Sous vide for Christmas. Our coffee beans are fresh, and our steaks and chicken are cooked perfectly. And now our left overs last even longer. Machine works great and the cyber Monday deal was incredible. I have already talked two friends into getting one.
