I not only bought one, I ended up with three to give to my three sons and DILs as Christmas gifts. I have had a FoodSaver for years and love how it saves me money by not having to throw away freezer-burnt food. This way, they don't try to borrow mine.

I don't like this vacuum cleaner as good as my old one. Especially don't like the new bags they've come out with . The old ones I could cut from the end and make my own bags whatever shape I needed them and they would seal just fine The new ones do not do that they only seal in one direction and I am very disappointed in that.

The bag holder/dispenser is a great feature and my observation is the vacuum part is more powerful getting a more complete vacuum. I sous vide so getting more air out means items are more likely to be submerged when cooking. If you sous vide, buy up a price level or two, you won't regret it.

My old Foodsaver of many years retired. Questioned spending this much money on the system but now that it's here and I've used it a few times it is well worth the money. Very happy with my new toy. Downside - the extras. Two free rolls are less than half the size of regular roles. I thought that was a cheap trick. The coupons? Good toward your next purchase! I'm not going to buy another one so what good are the coupons? A little more honest marketing to go along with this really great product.

I had a food saver previously, bought over 10 years ago. found that model too clumsy and results were not consistent. donated it to be rid of it. Finally gave in and purchased this model with the hope that the technology and design had improved and I was pleased to discover that this was true. Bag making is a snap, vacuuming and sealing process is improved 10 fold over the old model. Everything so much more efficient, you can do wet and dry, you an seal at any point during vacuum process if you don't need or want max air removal. Overall I am glad I made this purchase and think you will be too.

Have been using a foodsaver for years and this new FM5460 is absolutely awesome. Easy to use, preserves food beautifully and saves us lots of money. We shop only once a month so being able to freeze and preserve our foods efficiently is an absolute must. FoodSaver does just that for us having saved us hundreds of dollars over the years. Maybe even thousands of dollars.

Love everything about this FoodSaver Sealer. My only suggestion would be to have the capability of keeping the type of food you are sealing DRY or MOIST set so you don't have to set it at every seal. If I'm sealing meat I have to remember to set it to moist for each piece. It would be easier to set it when you turn it on each time. I have forgotten to set it after each seal, and it automatically defaults to dry.

It still ran when I gave it away to get this one that I thought would be more convenient to use, but it's not. It's so much bigger so we put it under the counter and don't use it as often as we should.This vacuum sealer

I owned one of the first "Seal-a-meal" products you put out and I purchased an up-dated model about a year and a half ago and am still having fun. The one I purchased now is for a wedding gift. I purchased a hand sealer for them some time ago and they love it. I use mine on a daily basis.

BOUGHT THIS FOR ME AND MY WIFE FOR CHRISTMAS 2016. WE HAVE USED IT A FEW TIMES AND IT IS SO EASY TO SETUP AND USE. I LOVE THE WAY YOU JUST SLIDE THE NEW SEAL ROLLS IN FROM EITHER SIDE OF SEALER, AND THE BUILT IN BAG CUTTER. WE ARE WAITING ON SUMMER TO GET FRESH VEGIES TO REALLY SEALING SOME GOOD FOOD.
