I love this vacuum sealer. its light weight, streamline shape fits on my countertop without taking up to much room. It is easy to use with a powerful vacuum. Sealing mason jars is quick and easy also.

I am so happy I decided to purchase this. I use it everyday. I just re-ordered bags, rolls, etc. and also purchased storage containers, which I must say are so terrific!! LOVE IT! I know as I continue to use this system, I will see amazing savings and have far less wasted food. It is easy to use and to manage. I highly recommend this product. I don't have a family so I cook and store items in freezer and refrigerator quite a bit. It is nice to follow recipes and then have "made ahead meals" that will be just as great as the first serving when the recipe was prepared. The storage containers really keep produce fresh. Very pleased!

I have owned other food saver models and loved them, but this is the best one so far. The bags are easier and faster to make as advertised. For me it is easier to get the bag in the right place to seal it because of the see thru window. I'm glad I decided to get it. I took advantage of the payment plan which was great for me also! We are empty nesters so it is perfect to cook and save extra for a later time. It is also great for someone on a diet to make meals ahead! Love it!!!

This is my second FoodSaver I've been using them since probably 2009 maybe even earlier. I really like this one the 5460 because it creates the next bag that I'm going to use when I make one. If I have anything that's not great about the machine it's that when you reseal a bag it's difficult to hold the bag steady and use two hands to activate the switch. But all in all I love this machine.

We bought this Food Saver about a month ago and it has saved us so much. We have cooked things ahead of time and frozen them for later. We have used the Food Saver to compact our foods for camping (definitely waterproof). It has saved us so much. I can't wait to discover more about our Food Saver. I've had this for 4 weeks now. I loved my old FoodSaver and this very different so I had a little bit of a learning curve. This new one is amazing, it f does everything but put the food in the freezer for you. A lot quieter, and lighter than the old one. I love the built in hose.

Have this unit for over a month now..really a great product. I reseal my chip bags seal meats for freezing. So far NO troubles with it still have to try out a few features like bottle sealing and jars but that will come in time...Would give 5 Stars but have not had Unit long enough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice unit. Very impressed with the pulse feature, never had that before. Not too happy with my delivery service. Carrier dropped at edge of road in rain 150' away from house with no notification of delivery. Would have given a 5 star otherwise.

Overall it works well, but if there is any liquid present it simply doesn't seal, which has lead to quite a bit of frustration. Many repeat attempts, wiping the bag, wiping the machine, trying again, wiping again, it will either suction forever and not seal, or you can press the seal button as soon as you see moisture getting close to the edge of the bag. Sometimes this works, sometimes the machine just releases the bag and doesn't seal. I expected a bit more from a machine with a moist setting...

My husband and I have had a Foodsaver machine for well over 10 ten years. That one finally went to FoodSaver heaven. We use it all the time so we wanted to replace it. I think the old model worker much better than the one we just purchased. My husband is an avid hunter, he harvested two deer this fall. We are in the process of cutting up and packaging the second one. I didn't realize that we should freeze the meat first, we never have done that before. We will give it a try. I did call FoodSaver, the lady was very kind.
