Was easy to put together and seems to be quality parts. I'm very happy with this grill.

Smokes my meat like no other

My husband loves his early Father's Day present. This is such a sturdy unit. Also works great.

I have been using smokers for years and have a couple of masterbuilt smokers. Some friends were telling me how great pellet smokers work so....after seeing this one on Sam's Club web site for a great price, I ordered it. I received it in a couple of days and with the wife's help got it put together in about an hour. It appears well made with heavy steel. The only issue was a broken dial on the digital temperature control. I called customer service and ten days later I had a new temperature controller. So after seasoning the unit and smoking a turkey for Thanksgiving, I must say I am very happy with my purchase. I used a dual probe Maverick temperature unit and from one end to the other the temperature only varied a couple of degrees. During the cook, I set it at 225 degrees. For the entire seven hour cook the smoker ran between 225 and 235 degree. It was more consistent than either of my other smokers and you will never get a stick burner to run that consistent. The temp gauge on the door was off by 50 degrees but they are always unreliable. Bottom line: Even after the setback of a broken dial, customer service took care of the problem relatively fast. The smoker works great, has consistent heat, and as close to set it and forget as you are going to get with a smoker.

Have had this pellet for a year now and have used it numerous times to cook everything from chicken, baby back ribs, beef dino ribs, and of course brisket! Results have been amazing! We have read some of the negative reviews here, such as the inability to empty the hopper due to the grate and the internal temp not being accurate, but that all have such easy fixes! We unscrewed the grate allowing super easy way to empty it out, and just use our thermopro probe that anyone cooking with smoke should have that provides accurate temps inside the chamber as well as meat temps. Like all grills, you have to get to know and understand the idiosyncrasies of your grill! DO NOT spend hundreds of dollars for overpriced smokers! This grill is very sturdy and will last many years! As with anything else, proper care and maintenance is key! Only other thing I would add is a possible cause for folks saying the motherboard has issues, is that when we got ours, the associate at the store that was assisting putting it on the dolly just dropped the box on the store floor since it is a little heavy. When I approached him and said it should be handled more carefully, he asked if I wanted another one and of course I decided on one that had not beed dropped. My guess is that could be the cause of some of the grills not functioning properly. (Other brands have had similar complaints)
