Love the foodie

I gave my smaller foodie to my son to take to college and got the larger one for myself. I sing the praises of the foodie as a timesaver for cooking and cleaning. I bought one for my daughter as well and she loves it and eats healthier because it is so convenient to make delicious healthy meals. Love love love it

If you want a multi-cooker - this is a good deal!

Great setup, pressure cooker and air fry feature work as advertised. Simple to setup and use for each function. I've used just about every feature except for yogurt making - really, who wants to make their own yogurt? In any case, this is an all-around good value and something my family uses 2-3 times a week.

Not Impressed

I broke my air fryer so I thought I would get this a shot as it was on sale and do highly rated. Unfortunately I just wasn't impressed. I made beef stroganoff on the stove and pressure cooked and the stove version was finished much faster! So what is the point? I also tried the air fryer function and the basket is tiny! If you have a family this would not work for you. Secondly, the air fryer is not great. It seems secondary to the pressure cooking. It just took forever to get things crispy and even then not as crispy as my old air fryer! I tried mozzarella sticks, egg rolls, and chicken wings. For 9 chicken wings it took almost 30 mins to get them anywhere near the crispy texture you would want. In comparison my old air fryer would have had those perfect in about 8 mins. I returned this to the store and am buying a new air fryer.

Gift Quite Appreciated

This was a "house warming" gift for my granddaughter who has a full time job while attending graduate school full time. I purchased this gift because I have a unit like it and appreciate that it does a fantastic job in cooking food in the minimum amount of time. Being that she is in a similar situation, it was only logical that I purchase this type of gift.

Still learning to use all of the various features.

Pressure cooker is awesome. Features take some getting used to, especially timing for air crisping, etc. We cooked a 7 lb chicken and it was awesome. Potato wedges come out pretty good. I wish they would brown up more. Recipe book has some issues. Who uses 2 tablespoons of salt for anything other than brining???? Grilling area is small; if you want to just bake or grill exclusively, I'd get something else. Overall, I am pleased with this item.

Most diverse & functional kitchen appliance we own

I never knew I needed one of these until I bought one as a Christmas gift for someone else. When I saw all it could do, I bought one for myself. These things are awesome. 2 weeks later and I’m still discovering cooking methods I didn’t know existed. The air fryer makes evenly cooked perfectly crisp fries that are so more tasty than oven fries(with the baking sheet side that’s always soggier than the rest)

It's OK, but not the greatest appliance I have...

I wasn't sure about this at first. It's quite daunting. I've watched so many YouTube videos on air frying and pressure cooking, but it's still a lot to take in. So, before I even took it out of the box, I read the instructions and the cookbook that comes with it. I gathered some ingredients. I couldn't decide if I should go small and start with sweet potato fries or go for the gusto and do the whole chicken. After much debate, I went for the chicken! I followed the recipe (which btw, is different from the quick guide and the cookbook by 15 minutes!) I want to share with you something very important that is the fault of the Ninja Foodie people. For those of you who are BRAND NEW to this kind of appliance, you must have at least one cup of liquid in the pot for pressure cooking. I did not know this and I followed the recipe exactly as stated and my ingredients in the pot (not the chicken) burned! I got a WATR error message on the machine and quickly had to try to open the lid and pour a cup of water in there. It was very stressful thinking I had ruined my machine after one try. Needless to say, after all that, the chicken came out great-- with a hint of burned smokiness, but not too bad, and so I think next time, I won't pressure cook it, I will just air fry it for 60 min. Since then, I've done, crispy sweet potato fries, crispy chick peas, and crispy cauliflower. They've been OK. Not great, but fun to experiment. The applience is HUGE. I'm not gonna lie. The box it came in is HUGE. So, don't think you're going to set it on the counter and leave it unless you have a ton of space. The other thing to take note is that a lot of air fryers have a drawer to pull out and put in, the Ninja Foodie has a lid and you need to stir or flip foods with thongs instead of shaking. Am I convinced, this is the best thing... not sure yet. I haven't used the slow cooker or the other features yet, so maybe with time.

My 2nd one

What a fantastic cooking aid! This is a later model for me. I love the 9 plus features of Ninja Foodi. This one has one new function. Everything else looks to be the same. I wish they had improved on how to clean some of the cooking elements. But the reduced price at Sam's gave me the incentive to upgrade. It is an amazing cooking gadget to own. Just make sure you have strong upper body strength. IT is HEAVY!

Best Purchase ever!!

Receive this as a Christmas gift! It gets easier to use as time goes on. Use on Christmas Day Air Fry my turkey legs and wing came out pretty good. Didn’t take long at all. I got this at a good price $159.99. If you are in the market to purchase an air fryer this is a very good choice.
