[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this two weeks ago and so far am very happy. It gets everything very clean. No issues there. The half load option is great for running a quick wash on breakfast and lunch dishes so you have the full dishwasher available for dinner dishes. Love the ability to move the middle rack up and down for various items that need to be washed on the upper rack. Love the third rack for utensils and knives. Turbo mode (washes in one hour) works really well. I also love the fork, knife, and spoon holder on the bottom rack. No matter the style of silverware you have, it'll fit and it fits 10 sets on each side plus room for other items in the middle sections. Only thing that doesn't work so well is the overnight drying function. Still find lots of water on my cups and other dishes. But just opening the door once it's done seems to reduce that issue greatly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the 3 racks. The cutlery rack is great for small items that always end up in the bottom of the dishwasher lost. And they always get so clean on this rack. I love the adjustable height middle rack. It gives so much extra needed space to the lower rack and the middle rack. I love the front controls, you can see what your dishwasher is doing and how much time it needs/has left. You don't end up accidentally opening it while it is running. This dishwasher is so quiet too! It does a great job of cleaning and looks great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve bought LG products before and really like their products. We chose this one because of sleek look and the fact that it has that third tray, something our old one didn’t have. And another factor, it matches our LG fridge.

The dishwasher cleans the dishes well and it’s pretty quiet. The racks are not designed well as this doesn’t hold nearly as many dishes as our old (cheaper brand) dishwasher. The bottom rack also slides out of place very easily which is annoying when it’s full of breakable dishes.

I love the 3rd rack! I’ve always put long tools on the top rack of the dishwasher so with this 3rd rack it gives me extra space! Cleans perfectly! Easy installation, I was able to install the dishwasher myself! Rated at a 4 because of the fact that I can’t put taller cups on the 2nd rack due to the space for the 3rd rack. And the bottom rack seems to not hold as much as my previous dishwasher. Usually I’m able to put my frying pan in the bottom rack to be washed but due to the size of this dishwasher I have to really maneuver items around to get it to fit properly. I’ve mainly been just washing the pots and pans due to size. Also the run time of the dishwasher is approx 2 hours+ and this is much longer than I anticipated.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Happy with the product, however it is obvious the manual writer did not have a "person-off-the-street" try to operate the dishwasher from the write-up. The final important statements in various descriptions were missing, requiring a user to use trial and error to make functions work.

The best dishwasher we've ever owned and we've had a few over the years. Very, very quiet and efficient. One star deduction for the fact that the lettering for the various controls lacks any way near sufficient contrast to be easily readable, especially for older eyes. I have seen a comment about an LG ranger with the same problem so it is a LG design feature that someone thinks is a good idea. It's not.

My husband recently said to me the I must really like the new dishwasher because I load and unload it very quickly. Plus the dishes are really clean, so you don't have to do anything else with them :)

Bought my first LG dishwasher (Model LDS5540ST) on March 31, 2015. On April 26, 2021, the machine ruptured along the bottom spilling water on my kitchen floor and into the basement below causing substantial damage. LG denied responsibility since warranty had expired. Since all of my major appliances are LG, I decided to order another LG dishwasher. The new D/W (Model LDFN4542S) was delivered and installed on May 14. 2021. However, after about 20 minutes of operation, the new machine failed with an "OE" code. I contacted the Installer (MiD, Inc.) who said a new machine would be provided. The new machine was delivered and installed on May 28, 2021. But, like the first one, the machine stalled with an "OE" code after about 20 minutes. Suspecting it was not a machine problem, I called a local plumber who arrived promptly and solved the problem in about 5 minutes. It seems both Installers had attached the drain hose to the food disposal, but failed to first remove the factory-installed plug in the disposal. The plumber removed the plug and the D/W began working properly. Not sure why the Installers were not aware of this requirement. After about 2 weeks, the D/W is still working and performing exceptionally well. I still like the features of the machine and just hope the failure that occurred in my first LG D/W does not happen in my new one. If not, I will give my new machine a much higher rating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I have not had to use it often, I do like being able to adjust the middle shelf. Even though I use good quality detergent tablets and rinse aid, I have found that my glasses do not always get clean.
