Bought my first LG dishwasher (Model LDS5540ST) on March 31, 2015. On April 26, 2021, the machine ruptured along the bottom spilling water on my kitchen floor and into the basement below causing substantial damage. LG denied responsibility since warranty had expired. Since all of my major appliances are LG, I decided to order another LG dishwasher. The new D/W (Model LDFN4542S) was delivered and installed on May 14. 2021. However, after about 20 minutes of operation, the new machine failed with an "OE" code. I contacted the Installer (MiD, Inc.) who said a new machine would be provided. The new machine was delivered and installed on May 28, 2021. But, like the first one, the machine stalled with an "OE" code after about 20 minutes. Suspecting it was not a machine problem, I called a local plumber who arrived promptly and solved the problem in about 5 minutes. It seems both Installers had attached the drain hose to the food disposal, but failed to first remove the factory-installed plug in the disposal. The plumber removed the plug and the D/W began working properly. Not sure why the Installers were not aware of this requirement. After about 2 weeks, the D/W is still working and performing exceptionally well. I still like the features of the machine and just hope the failure that occurred in my first LG D/W does not happen in my new one. If not, I will give my new machine a much higher rating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the 3rd row on my dishwasher, and the option to adjust middle rack. However, I am finding that plastic items do not dry well. Have done all that manual suggests, and have even gone on line for tips. Nothing works so far.

Had this dish washer for a few weeks. It is very quiet and cleans well. Only problem we saw was that it does not dry thoroughly. I think this may be due to the new dishwashers do not have heating elements. I have to crack the door open after each use so all the moister will leave the inside.

We love the room that this dishwasher provides. The third drawer is a must for anyone thinking of purchasing a dishwasher. But more importantly to choose the reliability of LG. We've used this brand for years and never had a problem. Our new home only has LG appliances!

I like the top level for smaller things and miscellaneous utensils, and it does a very good job cleaning dishes. It has a nice sleek look, and I just bought a strong magnetic 12” rod to hang a dish towel on it. Overall perfect for my needs.

When the machine is running it can easily be turned off by touching he controls with your body.perhaps some sort of lock device could be part of the controls to prevent accidental interruption.

Remains to be seen if this one will hold up more than a few years, but so far so good. Quiet and easy to operate. I like the third cutlery rack and that the middle rack is adjustable. It fits big pots my old dishwasher couldn't. It took a little time to figure out how to get a full load of dishes on the bottom rack. Definitely can't load it in a rush if you want to get a lot in. I like that the inside bottom around the drain is flat and easy to wipe down after a load. No random crevices where missed food particles can accumulate. We installed the dishwasher ourselves. Ran into issues with the drain hose being larger diameter than our old model and needing it to run it closer to the floor. Otherwise install was pretty simple with good instructions. So far cleans everything well on auto setting. It has a lot of settings/features I haven't tried yet. Pros: Cleans well, quiet, can fit pots, adjustible shelves. Chose this model because it was highly rated for energy/water efficiency. Cons: A little difficult to load correctly, some on the interior parts feel plasticky/ flimsy

I bought this dishwasher a month ago after doing some research on different ones while not breaking the bank and have to say it is the best decision I could make. It is an amazing dishwasher with every cycle you actually need, easy to use and set up, washes everything perfectly and leaves them perfectly dry, which is an issue I've had with other ones around the same price range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed it 2 months ago and it works great. But after running it a couple of times, it wouldn't work and we tried everything we could think of. Including reading the operations manual.. I Called your help line and they scheduled a repair man. But then in resetting the racks we finally determined there in an interlocking waterline that must be forced in to allow the washer to work. Canceled the repairman and wishing your installation and operation manuals were more clear or specific about that subtle interlocking rack requirement.
