Bought my first LG dishwasher (Model LDS5540ST) on March 31, 2015. On April 26, 2021, the machine ruptured along the bottom spilling water on my kitchen floor and into the basement below causing substantial damage. LG denied responsibility since warranty had expired. Since all of my major appliances are LG, I decided to order another LG dishwasher. The new D/W (Model LDFN4542S) was delivered and installed on May 14. 2021. However, after about 20 minutes of operation, the new machine failed with an "OE" code. I contacted the Installer (MiD, Inc.) who said a new machine would be provided. The new machine was delivered and installed on May 28, 2021. But, like the first one, the machine stalled with an "OE" code after about 20 minutes. Suspecting it was not a machine problem, I called a local plumber who arrived promptly and solved the problem in about 5 minutes. It seems both Installers had attached the drain hose to the food disposal, but failed to first remove the factory-installed plug in the disposal. The plumber removed the plug and the D/W began working properly. Not sure why the Installers were not aware of this requirement. After about 2 weeks, the D/W is still working and performing exceptionally well. I still like the features of the machine and just hope the failure that occurred in my first LG D/W does not happen in my new one. If not, I will give my new machine a much higher rating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and am very happy with my choice. It is very quiet so I can hear only water drops during operation. Front control panel is user-friendly and says how long it remains. It offers roomy third rack for utensils, I like this in particular. I would choose LG for future whatever appliances as LG never disappointed at me so far.

Just purchased my LG dishwasher and i'm very impressed with how quiet it is. Also like the design with the channels underneath the unit for the plumbing and electric to travel through. Lastly, the screw in the front to level the back leg is a great feature.

I am so very pleased with this Dishwasher! I did a lot of research before purchasing and this LG Model lives up to its reputation. I purchased the Print-free Stainless and it is a show stopper; just a beautiful exterior. It is so easy to load and fit items in the dishwasher. I love the extra third rack for small items. I have no worries filling it to capacity as it cleans everything well. Yet the best feature is that it is whisper quiet. I'm so used to sound that I have to check to make sure it's on - that's how quiet it is. Great purchase. And the price was competitive as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dishwasher is very quiet - I was used to running my old dishwasher only at night due to the noise so it was very nice to be able to run this one during the day without it being disturbing. I've been using this for a month and it is such an improvement from my old dishwasher. Cleans well while not knocking plastic containers around and flipping them upside down. I have seen some comments about poor drying performance, but my unit has dried dishes, silverware, and plastics very well. I do use a rinse aid as directed. I really like the adjustable shelf!

The bottom rack slides on rollers with too much of a gap that the rack comes off the rail and if it's full of dishes it is more difficult to get back on. If the rollers were 1/4 inch outward on both sides I think that might help keep the rack on.

I absolutely love this LG 3 rack dishwasher. I bought it to replace a Kitchenaid that was about 10 years old. I thought that was the best brand back then. How wrong I was! The LG is so quiet, I go back at times to see if is actually running. Dishes,pot and pans come out shining and dry. I could not ask for anything better.

I bought this dishwasher on the advice of a salesperson. I have no problem with the dishwasher itself. It does a great job cleaning and drying the dishes, and has many options. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This a beautiful unit and works very well. The only draw back is the low contrast between the grey text of the buttons and the background. Bright lighting or full daylight needed for easy viewing of the text. Backlit buttons or white text instead of grey would have solved this issue.
