Great unit—blows cold, the dry mode really takes the dampness out. It's super quiet--almost too quiet, it's hard to tell if its even on when the display is off. I love white noise, little bummed that I couldn't hear it. :) But it's an Ac..does it job really well!

Second Midea I've owned. First one Midea recalled for mold issue (wonder how that is for my health) so grabbed this one to replace it. This 8000 BTU is same size as previous and does NOT cool nearly as good as the other one. I already have it installed otherwise I'd return it. I'd look at other brands for anyone shopping.

Very nice unit. Quiet operation. It has a nice Smarthome app that gives you a bit more control of the unit. You can turn off the panel lights for example. And you can enable a boost cooldown mode that I don't think it available from the front panel. You can also program it to follow any schedule you can think up. It took a couple tries to get it to talk to the wifi, but not that difficult. It will oscillate the louvers up and down or you can stop them at any position. It measures room temperature from the air intake (it is a couple degrees cooler than the room because it is on the air conditioner. So if you want the room to be 71 degrees you might need to set the temp to 68 or 69 degrees. So far I am enjoying it. I installed it by myself, and it was quite heavy. I was able to manage it though.

Would absolutely NOT recommend this AC. Drove over an hour to pick up at the store and get home to find it's listed wrong dimensions on the website compared to the item received. Won't fit and when we unboxed it to confirm, it has 3 screws laying in the box missing from the back. Contacted customer care for a refund as this is ridiculous to drive an hour and get the wrong thing. The quality is a question in itself. The thing looks like a Temu AC unit. It's put together poorly and none of the seams even line up. I wouldn't even had installed it if it was the right size. The box was pristine so it left the factory in this condition. The fins on the back also had damage from the factory putting it in the box. I would not buy this and stear clear from Sam's Club ACs. Just buy one at Lowe's or Home Depot with the Extended warranty and you'll be happier.

Unit is louder than anticipated. It also has a terrible squealing noise while it’s running. It does the job but could be better with noise pollution.

Excellent performance! If you need an AC window unit this one is the way to go! It cooled off my bedroom almost instantly on very hot and humid days. It's also very quiet; I barely know it's on. This replaced an LG 8000 BTU that I had just purchased and it had very poor performance which I felt was defective. It was actually a piece of junk and did not cool off my bedroom. I had to take it back to Home Depot and get a refund. I am very satisfied with this Midea AC. It's everything I thought it was and more.

Inverter is the way to go! I tried a ge inverter model and was not impressed - the fan is too noisy. This one is super quiet and efficient. And it’s easier to install than the u shaped version. My only question is when these will be back in stock so that I can replace more of my old noisy non-inverter a/c’s

Very quiet and cools quickly. Very easy to operate.
