I have had this AC for nearly a week, and it has been nothing short of amazing. I bought it to replace a moldy Midea U shaped AC, and I’m happy that it is nearly if not just as quiet. It has no problem cooling my room even on the low setting, and it’s useful to have extra cooling power if I need it. The boost mode cools my room super fast! I like the look of the unit as well, and it comes with a removable drain plug - having previously had mold in my AC, I did not hesitate to remove it (SO much water came out). This unit can be controlled in the app - it’s handy to be able to start the AC when headed home from work or from a walk/jog outside. The app also lets you turn off the LED lights, and the beeping sound when changing a setting - all very useful. It’s hard to believe that I had a loud AC just a few years ago. These Midea units are really in a league of their own.

I love this AC, it is beautiful and silent. You don’t even know it’s on.

This AC is wonderful. It is quite. It cools as designed and the temperature control feature works as described. The only advertised feature I can not get to work is the ability to control it with my phone. And I control many things with my phone, so I’m not an idiot. Everything else works as advertised. Very good looking, quiet, and effective.

So far so good. We bought this window unit about 5 weeks ago. Cools well. Looks good. Easy to use. Only negative comment is that the light on front showing settings stays on all the time the unit is on.

Was unsure about this brand, but reviews were great and it’s a very quiet system, easy to install for a great price. Way better then the one I replaced.

We bought this unit to control temperature and humidity it a storage room of a building that is not climate controlled but is drywalled and insulated. We don't care to have it as cool as in the house but do want to keep humidity lower that it normally gets in our hot humid Florida climate. We have it set on 81 degrees and on the humidity control setting. The room is 350 sq ft and it manages it very well. It is quiet and didn't take long at all to bring the temp down from 92 degrees to 81 the day we installed it. It has a blade or air foil that osculates up and down where the air blows out but we just have it static with the blade directing air up at about a 40 degree angle. I can't testify to durability or service life yet but it seems well built and function and performance is great.

We recently received the unfortunate news that our air handler needed to be replaced. Compounding the issue, we learned that due to updated regulations, it’s no longer possible to simply replace the air handler; the entire HVAC system must now be upgraded to accommodate a newer type of refrigerant. The cost for this new system was estimated to be around $7,000–$8,000. However, our HVAC technician suggested that, given the size of our home (800 sq ft) and its age (built in the 1950s), a more practical and cost-effective solution would be to install either a mini split system or inverter-style window units. After conducting some research, we found that inverter window units appeared to be the most efficient and convenient option for our needs. We ultimately purchased two Midea inverter window units—one 12,000 BTU and one 8,000 BTU—capable of cooling a combined 900 sq ft, which comfortably covers our home’s footprint. So far, they’ve been performing exceptionally well. The units maintain a consistent indoor temperature and operate very quietly. Once the set temperature is reached, the units power down and automatically restart when the temperature begins to rise again. We also opted for extended warranties on both units, which offers peace of mind. I appreciate the simplicity of being able to replace a window unit myself if necessary, rather than relying on a technician for repairs or installation.

Very nice, so quiet I forget it’s on. Love that I can control it from my phone, the included remote or the actual ac unit. Can set schedules so you never even have to physically turn it on and off. Have not tried all the different features yet but the actual air conditioning on High Cool is awesome.

Bought 4 Midea window units as backup in case of central air failure and long outage due to high heat and humidity in my area. Installed three of them this month, Aug. 2025, and have not used them yet. One I put away to install during a long AC outage. Can't really say how reliable they are, but they do at least look well-built. You'll have to go to someone who has used one long-term to know about reliability. I wonder about the inverter design. Should be good when on a generator, as it should not have high peak power draws, as the old compressor units have that sags generators.
