It is a dark red wine with an orange tinge. In terms of taste, it has a strong black cherry flavor with hints of blackberry, persimmon, and pomegranate. It has a bit of an acidic aftertaste that is harsh on the palate with a black cherry flavor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wine was probably my least favorite. It was the darkest of the 3 barrel aged I had. The taste had a bit of tartness to it, with some red fruits noticed. Maybe some cranberry. The bourbon flavor reveals itself towards the end which is nice because I enjoy dark alcohols such as bourbon and brandy. My dislike with this wine is that it is very dry, to me and I prefer a sweeter less dry wine. Flavors were good though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We thoroughly enjoyed the Cabernet during our dim sum dinner party and it was surprisingly a great accompaniment to the rich, salty, and savory Asian foods. We typically eat dim sum with a light beer or sake but the Cabernet was a perfect wine to pair the foods with since. The notes of bourbon lingered and with each bite and sip, it rounded out every bite nicely!

This wine was nicely paired with a marinated beef and various cheeses for an appetizer. I will definitely be purchasing this wine again for fall meals.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The light rum flavor and scent in this wine made for a different experience in a good way. We tasted it with spicy Tuscany cheese and summer sausage. I'll definitely consider it for a sipping party in the future .

The bourbon barrel-aged definitely helped to enhance the flavors. Some people thought it was a little dry for them, so thats why a star was taken away.

I bought 2 bottles of this because it was the only barrel-aged wine available in my area. We drank it one night with a cheese and sausage charcuterie board while watching a movie and the other with a fabulous steak off the grill. It paired very well both times. It was perfect.

It seem like a smooth drink with a combination of bourbon and wine. It is not a heavy drink and easy to drink it. I would like to try it with some meat like steak.

It was a tad strong for my taste as a very new wine drinker, but the overall taste was pretty good! It was hard to pick up on any specific flavor note (especially as a newbie), but it was pretty good! It tasted really good paired with the pepperoni. white cheddar, and rye chips I got.
