[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a complimentary bottle of Robert Mondavi Private Selection Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon from Ripple Street in exchange for my honest review. The strength of this lies in the aroma and taste. It is slightly sweet with a fruit forward medium bodied dry finish. I paired this with a rib eye steak and butter and parsley baked potatoes. Robert Mondavi Private Selection Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon is deep plum in color. It awakens the senses with the fragrance of vanilla, carmel, berries, and a strong hint of earthly oak. The pallette is teased with BlackBerry, blueberry, black cherry, carmel, spices, and a toasty oak. Although I enjoyed this, it was a little to dry for my liking.

I bought several bottles to serve at a cocktail party and everyone raved about the depth of flavor. The barrel ageing gives it notes of bourbon which elevates the experience at a great moderate price point. Will definitely be purchasing again (as will my guests).

After sampling all 3 this one is the perfect combination in my opinion and my mom agreed as well. We enjoyed it with pasta. Its aroma is subtle, not strong. It’s a great fall after work reading a book by the fire kind of wine. Dark red appearance. Taste is smooth and rich. Finish is not strong at all or acidic like some wines. This doesn’t have any bitter or tannin aftertaste. Some red wine gives me that heart burn feeling but not this one. 5/5. I can honestly say I will be purchasing in the future for the holidays. Great wine to bring to a party.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Robert Mondavi Bourbon Barreled-Aged was an exquisite Cabernet Sauvignon with lots of character and nuisances. The aroma was warm and fruity and the color was a dark red. The taste was a smoky light oak flavor that even a non-red wine drinker enjoyed. The barrel flavor really comes through with the aftertaste, which was smooth and aged. This wine paired wonderfully with grilled filet mignon with brown gravy and a range of various cheeses.

Perfect for celebrating just like we did while watching the World Series. I would definitely be buying this wine in the future to enjoy with my friends and family.

For our party, we served BBQ ribs and brisket for a main course alongside the Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon and it was truly match made in heaven. The smokiness of the BBQ really brought out the oakiness and richness of the wine- it was a total revelation. Next time, we are going to try cooking the BBQ with the wine, as we normally would with beer, something tells me it's going to be amaaaazing! My guests said they will now pair BBQ with red wine from Mondavi- it was that good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] what a great event. loved the special touch with the wine and cheese knife and bottle opener. i love cabs. this was a medium balanced barrel aged cab. a little tart at first but warms up. ended up letting it sit for about an hour and it tasted amazing. and economically speaking not that pricy. would definitely buy this one again. i served this with my dinner, red meat and potatoes and paired nicely

The Cab has a nice, hearty aroma. The sweet undertones from the bourbon barrels give the wine a uniquely complex taste. Great wine for the price!
