I really enjoy Robert Mondavi wines. when I do drink a red I like a Bourbon barrel Cabernet. I like his texture. I like his flavor. I love the taste of the bourbon which is weird because I'm not a bourbon drinker by any means! but I love the different flavor that it gives a Cabernet or a Chardonnay. in fact, his bourbon barrel Chardonnay is absolutely wonderful! it has a decent price point. I've sold it in my restaurant. I've carried it and his other products on and off for 9 years. He has great products. Robert Mondavi rocks!

The fresh outside air allowed me to smell the delicious berries it contained. This was my favorite tonight as we paired it with gouda, aged cheddar, ribeye and stuffed mushrooms. I enjoyed how smooth and flavorful it was. It was perfectly balanced in flavor.

It's medium bodied in the mouth with, berries, oak and then the bourbon finishes. I was pleasantly surprised with how smooth this is. Can't decide if itsit's whisky or wine kind of evening? Try some of both. Great to use when cooking a dish that calls for a rich deep flavor like beef Bourgogne

The aroma was fruity and floral with a slightly sour scent. We paired it with various cheeses - a brie, a garlic goat cheese, a blueberry-vanilla goat cheese, and a purple moon cheddar. It paired best with the cheddar! As well as with various meats and rosemary and wheat crackers! We all decided to have it again and pair it with a steak dinner! Overall, not my personal favorite, though a very good decision for a Cabernet Sauvignon. Will purchase again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Robert Mondavi Bourbon Barreled-Aged was an exquisite Cabernet Sauvignon with lots of character and nuisances. The aroma was warm and fruity and the color was a dark red. The taste was a smoky light oak flavor that even a non-red wine drinker enjoyed. The barrel flavor really comes through with the aftertaste, which was smooth and aged. This wine paired wonderfully with grilled filet mignon with brown gravy and a range of various cheeses.

But if you don't enjoy bourbon or whiskey, that taste might be too apparent to overlook. As for my circle of family and friends, the whiskey drinkers tasted too much berry and the fruity wine drinkers tasted too much whiskey. But its perfect for anyone who enjoys both!

I read that it's aged in bourbon barrels to deliver on the bold flavor which is a nice touch. Overall, it is a very elegant wine and gives off a high-end premium taste.

In the mouth: an explosion of ripe red fruits, wood, vanilla, caramel and with good persistence with a light touch of smoke. All very balanced and integrated, alcohol, tannins. It oxygenates and improves. Lots of vanilla on the nose. In the mouth, an explosion of ripe red fruits, vanilla, even a little cocoa and black pepper. Relatively powerful and complex wine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Robert Mondavi Private Selection Bourbon Barrel-Aged Cabernet Sauvignon has such a rich and decadent flavor. It is on a drier side, but if you pair it with something sweet, it’s pure perfection. As per the instructions that came with it, I paired it with pasta with fresh basil from our garden, dark chocolate and some grilled chicken. The #RobertMondaviPrivateSelection charcuterie board came in handy! It has that very rich deep color to it, and feels thicker than most wines consistency wise. I have tried bourbon barrel aged cabernet sauvignon from another brand a while ago, and it did not leave any impression on me. However, the Robert Mondavi Private Selection Bourbon Barrel-Aged Cabernet Sauvignon was an absolute hit, and I would definitley recommend it to anyone who wants to add some sophistication and flavor to their dinner.

I'd definitly buy this as a gift for a wine lover or get it for myself to enjoy with dinner, maybe with a juicy steak! I paired this with Asiago cheese, crackers, honey, and on the side peppered salami! It all really complimented each other so well!
